Wonderful items Fram, absolutely lovely. :cheerz:

I love that poster also, I can sit and look at it for hours. :smitten:

That is a cool bag, I had a pair of rollerskates just like that in the early 80's, they were bloody awful! :)

That's a fantastic poster. Does Schleich keep that setup as a display at its headquarters? I've been building a plaster smurf mountain for my new smurf resort, but trust me, it won't look anything like the one in the poster!

Does anyone know of a link to that poster in larger detail?

Hi Tim, as far as I know Schleich made the display originally to show off the different figures. It is actually made up of 3 or 4 sections and these sections then went to different places, one of which I believe is in Germany - Nijmegen Schlumpfmesse - The pic below is Daniel, a member here visiting in 2001. I am not sure if it is still there.

Another section of it was in Holland and I was lucky enough to see photos of it when I was in Belgium earlier this year. It did belong to a dutch couple who kept it for several years but is now in Japan in a museum or toy shop I believe.

I am not sure where the other section(s) are or who owns them. It really would have been fantatsic to have seen this display complete in it's original state. I do intend to have a go at making some sort of display like this but obviously not on such a huge scale. :-D

Thanks everyone! It is a great poster and other items, indeed.

It's from some light, hollow, hard plastic. I have seen it on a few websites. I think the papa with gift exists like this as well. Only markings are C Peyo on the left foot. It looks to be made especially as an Xmas decoration.

That display in the poster is amazing! I've never seen that before or ever heard of it. So thanks for the picture Fram, and the info Rachel. Any chance you happen to have a scanner?? I'm assuming the poster is large? I'd love to see that closer and see all the detail.

Brad.

Hi Brad

I remembered I took some pics of this poster long ago and so I checked to see if I still had them on file and I do....so here's some close ups of the poster which may help a bit....includes the Nose-stand Smurf with yellow Pants. :)

The last pic is of a poster that I don't have yet....not sure where the pic came from and I apologise if I nicked it from someone here. :-?

wow! thanks for those pictures Dyar!
Do you have this poster as well?
That other large display looks amazing too.
What do you think these are made of? all plastic?
Or use of wood and other materials? they look great!

I know there is a display photograph on the back of my smurf comic of a smurf village, with a few of the houses, a lot of green grass, and smurf figures displayed.

I really love that castle as well. I've seen photos of that around (on your want page as well Dyar). That is a great building. Too bad it wasn't produced for the american market.

Hi Brad

I have the same poster like Fram does (thanks to Karen) but I don't have the 2nd one that I posted yet. I'm not sure what they were made of but I would love to have these displays in my collection. I wonder if they are the same type of material as Attom's great display that you won earlier this year (I think)....what do you think Attom?

The green on the backpack looks to be a unique shade of green Martin but I can't see anything else different about it off hand. If you see something odd about it then please let me know.

I have one with a green flower stem which I think wasn't repainted
