There's quite a good checklist at Mushroom Village...here's the link:

http://www.mushroomvillage.com/smurfs-f ... stbig.html

That should help to show you how many regulars, supers & also the Christmas ornaments there are which I consider to be the basic collection.

Hope that helps

You're welcome sami.....we really need to do something like that for this forum and make it more complicated or just as simple so it suits different types of collectors....I use one all of the time that I made but it still needs some tinkering with I think.

If we sum the regular plus the supers plus easter and christmas ornaments (the ones listed in the first pages of DSK, before the promos), what's the total?

Hi Paolo, I am in the midst of putting a spreadsheet together. I just added all of those up and I think it comes to 463.

Hi guys :wave2:

This is what I would personally call the basic collection although I am sure other collectors may count them differently. :D

Regular smurfs = 356
Super smurfs = 75
Christmas smurfs = 12
Easter smurfs = 12
Historical smurfs = 6

Grand total = 461

I'm sorry, as I'm an accountant and I had to try and reconcile Rachel's number to mine - because if my figure was wrong then that would mean an error in my spreadsheet, and I HATE errors in spreadsheets....

The difference is that I am including counts for the large & small millenium smurfs, giving me two extra (I guess!).

(I had actually meant to include the 3 on pg 179 DSK too, but the Count function I was using didn't pick up the references I gave)

Aaaah, I can go to bed happy now!!!! :) :) :) :) :)

Such a sad, sad life I lead

RachelĀ“s count is right. How come I got one Smurf less, while including easter and historical Smurfs? My total was 373 while Rach got 374. I must have gone wrong somewhere...

Hi Jekyll :wave2:

I understand what you mean but for some reason Schleich have given the different colours of the Easter smurf different numbers so technically they are seperate figures. :D

So, the smurf painter with easter egg on his hand and yellow brush is one figure and the same but with the green brush is another??
I thought that one is the regualr and the other was a variant..

Thanks Rachel

Hi Jekyll, I know it is strange isn't it. I agree that they should be the same smurf but just variations but for some unknown reason Schleich have given them different numbers so therefore they normally get classed as seperate figures. Why? I don't know. :-? :D

I strongly recommend this site:

http://www.mister-blue.de/schlumpf11/schlumpf05.php

You might never know how many variants are existing, but 1,143 smurfs is the smallest number I came across so far... .
