This is the last of the supers I need to get but I am a bit confused about which smurf it is supposed to come with. Is it supposed to come with the artist or the painter?? On the box it has the painter but I have seen it for sale with the artist as mint in box. :-? :-?

Dyar's one has the painter (red brush and two other brushes) on his site, yet Rachel's one on her site has the artist (one yellow brush). Was it produced with either or is one correct and one not?? It has the painter smurf in the DSK but not the artist one.

Any help will be greatly appreciated :D

I call these 2 the other way around Linda...although I know others call them the same as you as well.

The red brush one is the one that is meant to come with the Easel (hence Artist with Easel)....although I believe that for a short time that this super was sold with the smurf with the yellow brush. Whether this was deliberate, accident or due to shortages on the red brush at the time I don't know. However there were some sealed boxes that had the yellow brush although I believe the correct or most common version of the super smurf is the one with the red brush. However Rach isn't wrong by displaying the yellow brush due to it being sold with this smurf at some stage. The Comicfiguren Katalog also shows both smurfs (red & yellow brushes) under this super.

Any other thoughts?

Dyar

Thanks Dyar. I was thinking of buying it from an online store that has the yellow brush one but I don't want to spend the $50AU or so and then find out its the wrong one! :D

LOL! Do you know what, I don't think I had ever given this super smurf any real thought! That is what I love about this place, it makes you think.

Thanks for bringing this up Linda. :D

To be honest it was such a long time ago, I can't remember where I got this one from. I know it was definitely this smurf with the easel but it wasn't mint in box so it could have been mixed up in the past. The reason I know this is that it is actually a muster mark so I was always very careful with this little guy once he had arrived but now that you have mentioned it, I can't be sure it didn't isn't the wrong smurf. I don't think I had even noticed the katalogs although I have just checked them now. :o

That is really interesting what you say Dyar about both figures being released. Maybe I would have questioned it once I had got to redoing the supers for Blue Imps as I would have being looking at things a little closer but it is good to know although it does now mean I have to get another one!

Why is it called "common sense" when it is so rare.......
