Has anybody seen this display before? :? I know there is one that is very similar to this one, but I have never seen this particular one before. :-? . It has the marking Schleich on it, but I am wondering if it is a smurf display... I think it looks like one.. I do like it though and I am glad I bought it :D

This looks familiar too...I think Gerda may know more about it :D It looks like one of the mats with those mega playset thingies but I'm not quite sure.

Yep this is part of a smurf playset. It comes with the playmat and some of the regular/super smurfs in a box.

You're right little fishy, Gerda does have a few of these and will be able to show some pics of what the box looks like so you get a better idea Maureen. I don't have this one yet so i am very envious...well done.

Hi Maureen, there are a few of these mats that were available in the sets, I have two of them but I don't know off hand if one is the same as yours. I will try and check tomorrow. :D

Hi Guys,

The 2 below are the only playsets that I know off: The mat that Maureen has won being the one from playset No 1 (see box below).

The only other playset I know off is the one from Applause. (pic below).

I am curious to know which one you guys have! :D

:) :)

There are 2 playmats which, I believe came on their own, I mean not in the box.

I have both of these, but can't find the pic of the 2nd one tonight...

Hi David, that is interesting. I always thought that all the mats were from playsets so that is very good to know. I know I have definitely got the one you are showing so there is a good chance mine are the loose ones. I will dig them out tomorrow. :D

I think there are 4 of those playmat playsets with each one numbered on the box....of course the Appluase one would be a 5th but it's not the same series.

I think Gerda has most of them and when she gets some spare time I am sure she will correct or confirm me. I will try to find the pics of the other 2.

Thanks for all your help... that's great information :D

I got mine off the German ebay. Does anybody know if they were released in certain countries only? I don't think I have seen these playsets on the US ebay yet (except for the on with the roadsign leading to Gargamel's castle), so I guess they are pretty rare :-?-:

Does anybody have the Windmill playset (5.200 in the DSK, page 335) I have never seen that one and going by the price in the DSK, I know it is rare. I am just curious if anybody has one and maybe can post a picture, so I can drool over it.. :) :)

I don't think anyone here does have one of those Maureen although I am sure if I am wrong someone would correst me quite quickly...I know I would if I had one. :)

These are the Motorised Windmills which were used for shop display items only and not sold to the public. I saw one on ebay last year and I was quite determined to buy it...except I couldn't afford to at the time as I had another deal lined up that I was already committed to.

They don't come along very often therefore but occasionally you see them....we can always hope can't we?

HI guys, I can't get to my mats properly as they are under a ton of stuff but I definitely have the mat that David shows so I am guessing my other one is also a seperate playmat too.

I also got mine from Germany Maureen.

This is a nice one isn't it. As far as I know, this was available to retail outlets as it is motorized and was used for displays. I am sure I have seen a pic recently.......... :bolt:

yep, Jim has one. I am in the middle of sorting Jim's photos, putting them onto CD. I know he won't mind me previewing this one. :D

Thank you Rachel,

I was going to lay claim to owning this earlier, but I thought if I held off a little you might have had the time to post this picture. Good form!

I bought this a couple years ago from a long lost member of our community, Katlove. I believe with the shipping it cost $214.00. It's the first thing you see as you enter my front door.

thanks Rachel for posting the picture

Joacquin, I just saw David's picture, I hope you will see one at the fair and maybe able to get it??? :-D

I contacted the seller who sold me the display to see if he has any more and guess what he has the one that David mentioned (the seller called it Thanksgiving display).... I have asked for the price...

Dyar, I know I told you, I have to stop spending money like crazy.....

BUT HOW CAN I DO THAT????? :( :( :banghead:

Aww...Kathy..I wonder how she is Jim..she had a most impressive collection, not heard from her in ages.

I remember seeing that electric windmill Joacquin, but I didn't ask for the price...way too expensive...actually I nearly bought one of someone ages ago, he was selling one really cheap..wish I had now :(

Wow Jim, you are my idol .........but you knew that already though didn't you?

I love the pic and that Smurf with the Wheelbarrow looks so cool. I hoep to visit yoru smurf museum one day (I think we can call it a museum as it's worth paying an entry fee to see).

Do you want me to send Mrs Dyar over to live with you Maureen? She could nag you quite well about how you shouldn't be buying all them smurfs all of the time.

Of course it didn't work for me but she thinks that was partly because I am very thick and extremely deaf. I thought it was more a case of being stubborn and ignoring her myself but who really knows. :-? The offer still stands though.

WOW Jim, that was a fantastic price for this item. :-D

Yes Kathy was a lovely lady and it is such a shame she isn't around anymore, she had a fantastic collection and was so nice to deal with. :D
