Hi everybody...
what do you all count as the normal smurf collection? one of each smurfs or also the different variations? The reason I am asking is that I am close to getting one of each normal smurf (however, the ones I am missing will be very hard to get), but I don't have all the variations (color variations) yet........

to have a complete collection you must have 1 of each one then after to have variations is extra i think you must have 456 smurfs to have complete collection, I know this have beenn talk before on an other topic
ill search for it

Hi Maureen, I count one of each smurf too.
I think it would be such a difficult task to ever complete if every variation had to be found!

yeah you could never finish a collection .... variation are infinite like this number we use in mathematic: 3.141592653589793238462643383279502884197169399375105820974944592...... and it continues and continues

I count 1 of each Schleich number in the regular, supers & the other things......um, Christmas ornaments as the complete series
Which ones do you still need?....I think Christy might have them in the smurf room

I am pretty sure she does, but I doubt very much she would give them up.
...even for you
as they are kinda hard to find and very expensive...

She has one of them
I will just replace it with the fake grotesque Beer Smurf I have in my bag and no one will know

PS - she won't wake up will she?
PPS - Looks like another run down the street being chased by a solid and rather hard rolling pin

My aim was to get one of each figure and super which is what I class as the basic collection but variations I think are extra for your collection.......
Good luck in hunting down the expensive ones you need.....
Smurfy regards

I believe that as far as the number of smurfs one should take the DSK and go from the first page with smurfs (the one with papa) to the last page of super-smurf and count all of them once.
So, even if the easter smurfs have two issue numbers, they should be counted once (they are more like a color variation).
The regular (basic) collection should be made of these smurfs, maybe deleting the 3 promos that are listed on these pages (30th anniversary and handicapped) and the 3 christmas prototypes.
Joan, Peweeit and the snail should be counted.
The only exception is "gargamel with finger up", that I never understood why is listed under the same number as the other one, even if it's a completely different mold.

I just updated my excel file with the new indian smurfs, and I came up with a grandtotal for a basic collection: 473.
So deleting the 3 christmas prototypes noone has, a complete collection should be made up of 470 smurfs (in 2007).
Of course not counting promos or colour variations, and having DSK as the basic source for the spreadsheet.
