I have received four smurf posters today (didn't go to the mail box again yesterday :???: :) )...I had bidded on them on ebay, as they didn't seem so high in the starting price and actually won them :D
I expected some paper posters you know the ones that tear so easily, but they actually are made of the sturdier paper (not quite as hard as cartons but close to it)...

Apparently they weren't released with comic books as I had assumed when I saw them on ebay.

Does anybody know where they were released and how many there are of them? :? I think they were released around 1981 by W. Berrie (at least the marking on the posters would give you that impression :) )

They are kind of cute looking, and two are just perfect for me, so I couldn't say no (what's the use in saving money anyway, when you don't have any :-? )

Long, long ago, deep in the forest, there was a hidden village where tiny creatures lived. They called themselves the Smurfs. They were good.

I have a Smurfs poster from 1996 that I gave to my Dad. It has Gargamel and Azrael in a flying machine that is hovering over the Smurfs' village. Papa Smurf, Smurfette, Brainy, and Greedy are in it.

I can't find it on-line, and I don't have a camera right now. :(
