Hi Maureen, as far as I know, these were a licensed promotional release in 1995, as you mention, in France. I have seen a comic book that I think was released along with the smurfs but I don't have it but I will look for a pic for you.

Here's a pic of a poster i picked up either Passion or in Utrecht which has some info on it...the markings were:
Association Des Paralyses De France
© Peyo 1994 I.M.P.S. (Brussels)
So it seems to be official and was made for the handicapped association of France basically.
Maybe someone who can read French can translate the wording up the top and let us know if there is anything else interesting mentioned on the poster, for those of us who cannot not read French might benefit from

That display box is fabulous Maureen, well done on getting it.
I must admit that I had a look at those leaflets whilst they were on holiday at my place & found them very interesting. I hadn't seen those before although I do have the comic book which is very funny - I love that story

Tojo,
do you remember what the leaflets are saying? I really wish I had paid closer attention to my French teacher in school

No, sorry Maureen. I didn't take any copies & my French is very rusty anyway. I manage to read the French comic books with some difficulty but serious pamphlets like you have are beyond me
