Does anyone know anything about the sockel below (Kurz und Klar: Viel Glück im neuen Lebensjahr)? I have seen it a few times on ebay on the blue sockel but never on this purple one and I didn't know if this is a proper (real) variation or not. The same seller has this one in blue but with the pig glued into it's hands which Dyar says is not a real variation so I had to take that one off my watch list. Any help is appreciated :D

Hi Stace,
I have the blue sockel one without the pig ....never seen the purple one...as a matter of fact I am not sure I have seen a purple sockel at all...so I'd be interested also if there are any out there :-?

Per DSK page 247, the one with the pig should be on a blue sockel saying " Herzlichen Gluckwunsch und Viel Schwein im neuen Jahr" :D

Hi Stace, I don't think I have ever seen this purple sockel before, but I can't be 100% sure. :D

I think it's blue or was blue and has been discoloured in some way either by light or something....as far as I know this sockel never came in purple and it does look to me as if this was once blue or still is to some degree

Maybe the sun got to it and made it go purkle :)
Long, long ago, deep in the forest, there was a hidden village where tiny creatures lived. They called themselves the Smurfs. They were good.

Yeap I have seen that one before... and I think it was the same seller.

Stacie: To be really really honest: I am not sure about that one. I need to dig in the catalogues I have: I know I won't find the purple one as a smurf, but I think it might have been another figurine on it at some point...

Oh I forgot to mention:

The same one in blue with a pig is a fake (Message Kurz Und Klar...)

But

The same smurf holdijg a pig, on a blue sockel with message as below is correct. (it can be found in the 1983 Schleich catalogue)

Cheers,

David

Tell me about it!

I have recently heard some silly numbers for sockel collections. Unfortunately there are many which seem to appear from nowhere at the moment...

Eggie: I had a quick look in the catalogues I have: As expected I cannot find any purple sockel of any figure with that message. I am still missing quite a few catalogues so I cannot give you a definite answer.

Sorry.

If you end up buying this one, have a good look at the base and at the feet...

Cheers,

David

Thanks for info, David...I knew the pig that seller has is wrong also as Dyar pointed it out to me. I am watching the purple one just because I am curious now but there's no way I'll spend too much on it (I like buying stuff cheap :) ) But yes if I win, I will definitely look at the base. I wonder if I can ask for a close up picture of the smurf's feet on the base? Might solve some mysteries! :D

hi!

I've always loved the pig! one of my favourites.. I think they should have blue pigs.. or blue chickens .

as I wondered how a small smurf could find a mini pig?

maybe it should be a pig holding a smurf?

anyway I think like Syd.. that the color may have been off on the photo

Sounds like you have bought wisely Stace ! Well Done, a pic would be nice if you can, when you get it of course :D

Conflatulations Fishy  :)

I will be interested to see this one too when it arrives

Also, I agree with Attom.....how did a little smurf find an even smaller piggy????

Maybe it should be a smurf holding an ant or something

.....or maybe a piece of bacteria or something other really small. I guess what it comes down to is the fact that piggys are cute (Staci's logic not necessarily mine)......Smurf holding a Slurpee would be cute in my opinion.

I am pretty sure there are some sellers out there willing to sell you a "one of a kind" or "rarest of rarest" smurfs like that.....for maybe $50.00 or so :D
