Anyway, it was about six months ago. The forums had just split up. Civil war like.

I thought: whoa...

So I pretended to be a ditzy college chick from UC-Davis (law school, aged 27, keep getting Cs) named Taniel and hung out in the adult section of the "original forum" for a couple of weeks shooting the breeze and pretending to be from California (I sort of am).

And then, I like, woke up. Holy f*ck. What am I doing?

Worse, I was starting to make friends... with people I was already friends with.... (maybe they suspected)....

Anyway, I guess that's sort of like a sin.

But, seriously, if you collect smurfs and you take yourself seriously...

There's a college girl named Taniel who can't pass law school and who thinks "you're like, you know, maybe uptight? Yah?"

You're probably right about Taniel being Daniel with a T.

My influence: "Captain and Taniel" (Tuh-neel) were the first pop music singers I grew aware of as a child and were one of the few music groups my father (to my knowledge) ever bought record albums of. They were big in the early 70s. I don't know any of their songs, just remember seeing an album cover. They probably sang that "soft romantic style music" like Crystal Gale and her clones.

That stuff was big here in the 1970s.
