To Graham:
our friend Martin did not reply....what a coward! :) :) :)

He can always support Udinese!

True!
It's just a pity that...he's a Liverpool supporter!
:) :) :)
Hey Max I used to be a Liverpool supporter too until I ended up moving to where I live now  :) :) :) Now I support Eintracht Frankfurt although I'm not a really serious fan (I don't go to the games).

I really enjoyed meeting Martin at the fair & he's such a nice guy

Those smurfs are just incredible, incredible, incredible :???:

Thanks for the comments guys very nice of you.

A note to Zico : today my friend is good to be a Liverpool fan. I have just got up after a night shift to see 12 text messages from the fellow chosen ones to tell me the result of the Merseyside Derby. I will let Graham tell you the rest ...... :)

If Udinese make it 1983 all over again and sign Ronaldinho I will consider supporting them, until then I always look for Lazio!!!!!!

Udinese - Liverpool....what a dream....wins the one who drinks more!
Me and Martin trainers of the 2 teams!
Graham would be the referee (oh my God! :) )
Tojo too could found a role...for exaple the red cross, taking players to the hospital for too much drinking!
:) :) :) :) :)

(Sorry, I made a long competitive race today on the mountains....5 degress, clouds...only BEARS were missing.....I am a little mentally destroyed).

Wow, that are great sockels! :-D :D

I like the "Schwaben" smurf, but I wonder what he is advertising for?
It's difficult for me to translate its writing in English, but it means something like: "The money-saving / thrifty (?) from Swabia". Swabia is a region in Germany and being thrifty is a cliché of them.
The "I love San Francisco" and the "Aruba" are also promo smurfs not for a company, but for a region...Do you know how they were sold? As tourist articles??? :-? :D

Yep, the Schwäbisch one had me laughing too.

The nearest equivalent would be to put a Tojo smurf on a stand with the text 'as tight as a Scotsman' on it (no insult to Scots intended by the way :o ).

Long, long ago, deep in the forest, there was a hidden village where tiny creatures lived. They called themselves the Smurfs. They were good.

Thanks Graham

So that's what the money smurf sockel means...that has made me laugh. Can you imagine some of the English equivalents " As trustworthy as a scouser" :) , etc...

I can just imagine the english socle that Martin meant Graham, thats why I was laughing..I'm sure it would be 'as honest as a scouser' on the base and the thief smurf ontop

*legs it before Martin and Graham catch me* :)
