We have the oldest team in the field (average age of the players) and today the midfielders were simply unwatchable, but there are two more games and never count Italy out!

That was an awesome game. A totally unexpected result I must say.

Orange totally bitchslapped Italy.... but to be honest... I hope we don't come across them again... because this won't happen twice.

Anyway... a great result considering I hoped it would be a 1-1

There should have been an option for "no clue"! :)
I thought other was that option :) :) I'm assuming this is soccer :-? not american football
see here in the states they want us to get worked up over soccer now that bechame (that soccer guy married to the spice girl who never eats and looks like a stork :? ) well it's not working because people just don't care.
I must admit though I do like the world cup and do get worked up over that, mostly because of my mom and I can still remember watching it with my Oma... good times nothing like sitting there watching two soccer nuts scream at each other :argue: :) :)

thanks mr. Beers!

actually, I`d hoped, you had forgotten about the dress :)
But let`s see how the next 2 matches will go!
We are in the group with the world champion, the vice world champion and Rumania, so it won`t be easy.

I had a good old laugh at Germany yesterday evening. They played like a bunch of losers - which is exactly what they were :) :) The Croats were much more professional.

Yesterday was a great night! Oranje destroyed France too. I must say the French played way better than Italy though. It was a harder game than the score (4-1) shows!

ON TO THE QUARTER FINALES

I'm so happy that the Dutch team has had 2 incredible successes  :-D :D

Italy & France have really been shown how football in the European Cup should be played.

The Russia / Greece game this evening was very, very, very, very boring in comparison. Goodbye Hellas :o

I am not a true fan of football, but if Spain is playing, at least I like to see if we win...I was really enjoying the evening: an excellent book of Pavese, a gin and lemon, and swimming pool...I came in the sitting room, and switched the tv on to see the final result of Spain-Sweden...Two seconds later a player called Villa made a goal last few seconds of the match...IT WAS GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!

Well... I'm "forced" to root for Portugal. :) :)
Guess it's incrusted in the genes, even if I don't expect them to win (they'll make some stupid childish move at a crucial match, I'm sure.... we always do :banghead: )

Yes, and the match between Turkey and Czech Republic was VERY exciting...I rather wanted the Czech to win, so... :-?
The penalty shootout would have been great, if it had ended 3:3, because the Turkish goalie got the red card...

Tomorrow there will be the big match between Germany and Austria. Germany are not allowed to lose and they won't, I hope. ;)
