I was born 30th July 1965 & so will be 41 at the end of next month. It seems that most members are in their 30s if I'm not mistaken which is interesting

Maybe it has to do with the fact that Smurfs were really a big deal in the early '80s. In Italy, besides the figurines, there were TV cartoons and comic strips, so young kids that were big fans of the Smurfs back then are now collectors (that will be us!) in their 30s.

I have my birthday on july 11 1973 Easy to rember if you think of the 7/11 (convenient store) :)

talking about numbers repeating each other get this..
my oldest was born august 12 (12 days late
second born november 12 (6 days late)
third was born december 18 (3 days late)
fourth was march 30 (9 days late)
add 12 and 18 you get 30 All my numbers are divisible with 3.. not sure what that means though.. Also a strange family fact is that my mother was baptised on the same date as I was born (just 22 years earlier)
It is strange how certain dates and numbers repeat themselves..

Hi Gerda

That was pretty interesting about your birthdates being surrounded by the number 3......I know my Mum has somethign about the number 4.....it just comes up time and time again and I seem to have 7 & 11 that appears in passwords etc even though I don't get to choose a lot of them....they just tend to be 7s or 11s around me. There was a time where everytime I looked at a clock it was 11 past the hour...I mean so many times it was kinda freaky. I remember asking a friend what the time was and he said "why do you even bother asking".....it was 11 past something at the time. :)

I think I can remember that one :) ....so much easier when you link it to Slurpee Heaven. :)

Weird....that's amazing. I've lost count how many times I asked Santa for my very own Slurpee Machine....just so I could put it next to my bed so every morning when I wake up......it's Slurpee Day

Dyar

PS - Does anyone know how to stop a slurpee melting when mixed with alcohol?....I just have never been able to figure that one out. :scratchinghead:

If you like I will send one in the post for you Rae....hey if Karen can send snow then a Slurpee shouldn't be too hard....and the fact you live closer means it may still be frozen when it gets there.

Do they have 7-11 stores in South Australia Rae, Trish or Brad?

I have now addicted my son to Slurpees...I am such a bad Daddy :-?

Oh yes...the good ol Icees.....I think that might of been where it all started for me Gerda. Iwas just looking through some old photos of me and my friends from when I was at school.....it's amazing how many of them featured me with a slurpee in my hands....I don't think I ever noticed that before. I guess that's why they called me a Slurpologist in high school.

It's winter here so I haven't had a Slurpee for a couple of months now.....but there is nothing like a hot Australian summer and a slurpee to cool down.
