I noticed there wasn't a Euro 2008 topic yet... so I thought I might as well post one.

Which team do you want to win the European Championship? And why?

For me it's "Oranje"... well because I am Dutch

EDIT: I posted all teams, but appearantly you cannot make polls that big. So sorry if your country is not on the list. I added the "other" option for that.

Too be honest the whole thing is going to be quite a turn-off for me...without England being involved,my only hope is that either Croatia or Russia win..that might in someway justify Englands absence...well that and the fact that we were absolutely poo for most of the qualification stage.

If i`m forced to pick a winner....ermmm??...ummmm??......Italy.

Germany for me although they'll probably get kicked out pretty early

Germany has had better teams.....

Still, where's England huh? Or Scotland or Ireland. We don't even need to bother about Wales or N.Ireland as they can't even play football

At least the Welsh can play bloody good rugby to make up for it

But Babel is out and Kuyt is not as good as Fernando!!! But I must admit I have a soft spot for the Dutch. I remember crying when they lost in 1978!!
I was 6. Two of the greatest teams ever never won a thing:

Holland 1974 and Brazil 1982

The Dutch in 1974 had great kits, looked cool and played amazing football-if you look at Jonny Rep and Ruud Krol they looked like hippies with long hair and beads around their neck but incredible players...

As for Brazil 1982-you will never see their like again-INCREDIBLE.

But Spain it is followed by Holland

As always, during these type of events, my country is going mad...
everything is going to be orange, in the streets, shops, etc.

I`m afraid ,it won`t last long, since we`re in the group with Italy and France.
Personally, I expect that Italy wins, but if we win, I`ll buy this dress
