Paypal dispute Question

This is only the second time I had to do a Paypal dispute, and since the first one was a long time ago, I have forgotten how it works.

Ten days ago I opened a Paypal dispute because of an item that I never received. The notes in dispute say that the seller has to respond by Aug 28 after which Paypal will review the case. Well, the seller never responded..not to me nor to Paypal.

How long does it usually take Paypal to arrive to a decision, which I hope means I am getting my money back, as I still haven't received anything.

I think that after 10 days you have to escalate it to a claim and then Paypal look into it. At the moment all you've done is notify the seller that there's a problem and that you're serious about doing something about it. It could take another 10 days to get a decision but if they find in your favour then it's worth it. :D Good luck!

Hilary is correct...

You do have to escalate it to a claim, then Paypal will make their judgement on the case.

Once it's a claim and after the ten days have gone by, how long does it usually take for Paypal to come to a decision?

That's great news about finally receiving a refund.

That must mean the seller had funds in the account. That's very lucky. :-D

Usually if the seller does not have funds in his paypal account, you don't receive a refund until they put some in. If it's a scam artist, who took your money and ran, you can actually be out of luck.

Thank you, everybody :-D

I guess Paypal had more complaints about this seller and didn't need any time to decide.

BTW it was the British seller that others had problems with, too. She never even responded to me
