Ebay - is it just me?

Is it just me that is getting emails from ebay to say one of my 'watched items' has been relisted? I've had several from them that show things that aren't in my watched items..things like battlestar galactica figures, batman lamps etc??

I suspect they are all scams trying to get you to input your user details into links in the email. I have had a few odd watching emails.

Steve, I got them, too a few months ago... I think Linda or Staci reported them and ebay told them they were fakes..
Here is the link to the posts regarding it... :D

I have even got an email from a fellow ebayer in China who has contacted me through the ads with a question. So I opened it up only to find it was an ebayer sending me a sales pitch and links to his own auctions....how bad is that?

Yes I am trying to raise money to go away so of course naturally I would be looking to buy stupid watches. :banghead:

I don't even wear a watch and haven't for well since I was about 8 actually....might explain why I can be a bit late sometimes...although Mrs Dyar says being late by a week has nothing to do with not having a watch.

hi!

i'm always  in shock that Ebay can't stop this fraud stuff! I wonder how many Ebayers get ripped off by these scammers.

its awful that you can't trust anything. I even worry about all my EBAY

emails that arrive, even the ones asking for my ebay fees!

maybe they should abolish second offers. as I find them kinda of suspicious anyway.. after loosing a auction to someone then asking to
buy it at the highest price.

happened yesterday to me, I lost a Mexico smurf auction, it went for 88usa for four smurfs, then I get a second offer from the seller for the same smurfs! made me wonder if the winner wasn't really a winner
as these smurfs were odd fakes. the odds of having four more are pretty low.

Hey Attom,
that sounds really odd and suspicious... :-?

I usually don't open any ebay e-mails but look at them thru "My ebay" just to be on the safe side....

I didn't do it one time and got burned very bad, I opened a fake e-mail and clicked on the link, and the next day I saw that a seller had put an auction on ebay under my ebay ID for a tractor for $10 000.... Luckily I saw it before anybody bought it (had buy it now price on it) since it already had several watchers. :banghead:

I was new on ebay at the time and but learned my lession fast :-D
