Ok, this is totally smurf unrelated but it just made my day...

I was trying on some clothes for church today and since I knew that I had lost a whole size of me, I tried some on that were a bit too sexy (tight) so far, or that I never was able to close...

I am able to close all the blouses (that's a good thing when you go to church :-D ) and when I tried on one particular suit, which always was a bit tight...well...it is way too baggy now :-D

I thought about wearing it, but decided against it..instead I am wearing a nice blouse that I have never been able to close and only could wear as a jacket.... 8) :carrots:

The beauty of the whole deal is that I have a closet full of clothes I can now wear, so I don't have to buy anything new and I never really dieted...I just cut out chocolate (to some degree) and snacks...and I am no longer eating as much as before :twirl:

Anyway, I thought I share that titbit will all of you.... :D

Since I won't celebrate by buying new clothes (well, I did buy two skirts on Friday) I wonder if buying smurfs would count as celebration  unless somebody feels like celebrating with me and will send me a few
Well, it was worth a try :???:

Hi Maureen, a big congratulations.

Losing weight is never easy but the satisfaction of being able to fit into clothes stashed away in the wardrobe is always a great thrill. :-D

I put on a load of weight of Christmas and during the winter so I am trying to lose a bit too right now. Glad to hear you didn't try any drastic diets, never a good idea. I am also *trying* not to eat chocolate but this is difficult when hubby keeps bringing it home as a treat.

Buying smurfs as a reward is a fabulous idea. I might try this one too as a bit of an incentive.

It's our wedding anniversary today and guess what my pressie was, yep my new SCCI smurf. I thought it was good idea as this way I am happy therefore Richard is happy. :cheerz:

Do you like my thinking?? :hi5:

thank you guys, It really means a lot to me that I was able to lose some weight without actively dieting....especially since my doctor told me about two years ago if I wouldn't lose weight I might end up with serious problems in a few years or even an early death.....(heart problems run in my family)...I haven't been back to the doctor since then :) :) :)

Congratualtions :clap2:

I am putting on weight over here but hey I am having fun so I don't care too much at the moment.

Good to hear the news Moey

Yeah, you should try it...When you fill up your stomach with JD, you won't have room for food

Hahahahahaha :)

I find Guinness does that to me too. In the evening my stomach is full & there's no room for food. Next morning I'm completely empty :flush: :bogroll: It's a great way to diet :) :o

Oh yeah...where's my manners? Too long hanging out with the fish I guess to remember what manners are all about.....anyway

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY RACH AND RICHARD......yes smurfs are a good way to celebrate both achievements for Moey and Rach.....better still....send some new smurfs to your favourite Australian male that lives in Sydney who is a mod on this forum and has a smurf named Syd (I think that covers all bases).

Congrats to both of you

Hi guys, Thanks for the anniversay wishes. :cheerz:

Maureen, I think you are going to have to have a word with Richard. He presented me with another bar of chocolate last night and I just can't say no. At least if it isn't in the house I can't eat it. :o

Happy belated Anniversary, Rachel :-D

I think you need to have Stace and Dyar over, they will take care of the chocolate for you...and even make room in their oversize bags for more :) :) :)

Luv ya guys for taking the chocolate off me :-D

I am usually not much for self promotion at work, but today I told everybody what size of skirt I was wearing....and my co-workers were celebrating with me  .....actually, they called me sassy, because my skirt was a bit shorter than normal.....sassy??? :-? who??? :-? moi??? :dream:

(it wasn't a miniskirt... :D ) at least not as mini as I used to wear in my wild days :o
