hi !

I can only say that I loved pop culture growing up! the innocence, the freedom! the peace of mind! the fun! joy! and pleasure in dreamin!

I loved them all! my favourite then was Mickey Mouse, as he was rare to

see! then at least, now he is everywhere, over done

I collected mostly mickey items from the 1930's. Rat face ones!

as he was the original .

I personally wasn't into smurfs back then, but loved most cartoons!
more then anything else!

and off course friends and music which is also Pop culture!

Hi Attom

Those rat-faced Mickeys are pretty interesting.

Some of those really old cartoons are so different that they can even seem a little eery. I saw a stop-motion German flick from the 1920s recently and the puppets could be described as ugly, maybe even grotesque (I guess most were done in somebody's garage, which explains why they were so crude). One speaker did all the voices, as with those early Merrie Melody cartoons, but unlike Mel Blanc, his skill was so-so and the characters spoke with either a deep, grainy voice or a squeeky, inhuman voice.

There's even an old Bug Bunny cartoon that ends with Porky Pig, instead of saying "That's All Folks", getting frustrated, wiping his brow, and saying "Oh, son of a bi---".
