To be honest, I have been crying for many hours since last eve. Manni was off to see one of his doctors yesterday just to check his thyroid again.
However his doctor found two little knots on it. He said he what he might have either cold or hot knots (as we say in German, but I'm not an expert when it comes to the English terms). While the hot ones could be treated with the usage of medicine, the cold ones are said to cause cancer. His doctor wanted him to see again in about four months to check his knots again and also to specify, if they are cold or hot.

Therefore I don't know, if we can manage to go to Michelle's and Veronique's fair.

You know what Manni means to me.

If he was to die from cancer, I don't want to live,too.

Hi Dominique,
that is awful news. But remember this, apparently it is in the very early stages if the doctor doesn't start treatment right away...and that can be a good sign...As far as I know all cancer is very treatable when found in the early stages, the recovery changes are very good.

I have always believed that there is a reason why we have to go thru what we have to go thru...and I know sometimes that is hard to see and maybe not for us to understand right now....But please know, you are not alone, and you do have friends.

Aww Dom, I am praying for Manni that it is not cancer and that if it is, he can be treated. Can he get a second opinion as well? A specialist? If it is early enough, like Maureen says, there is a good chance of recovery. We're here for you both

Hi Dominique, this is very sad news to read but like everyone else, I will be hoping that Manni does not have cancer but as Maureen says, at least the doctor is aware of problems at a very early stage and treatments are often successful if the illness is caught early enough.

You are both in my thoughts.

I am a bit "atheistic", but I will tell my mum for praying for you both....

If it is not cancer.....we all , and that day it will be a party for all of us....

If it is cancer: my mum has suffered twice, and she is safe and sound, and the most happy woman in Spain!!!!!! We must trust in doctors!!!!
