Hi all :wave2:

I just wanted to explain why I disappeared for the last couple of days. :lurk:

Last week my younger sister had a baby boy, Oscar, her first baby. This was obviously fabulous news and I am so happy to be an aunty again. :joy:

Unfortunately I had a phone call first thing on Monday morning from my Dad telling me my Mum had been rushed into hospital with a suspected heart attack. The news is good though and although the doctors are still not sure exactly what happened, she didn't suffer a heart attack and was allowed home from hospital today. :-D

As you can imagine, the last couple of days have been very hectic, trying to make sure my sister was coping okay whilst trying to help my Dad and visiting my Mum.

Hopefully things should be fine again now and I will try and catch up a bit over the next few days. I did let the other Admin smurfers know what was going on just in case I did disappear, good to see Stace didn't break anything. :cheek:

Missed you all. :grouphug2:

Here is Oscar Dylan, my new nephew.

Good to know your sister and Oscar are doing fine...

I missed you, but I think everybody agrees...family comes first :D

Glad you are back though

Awwwwwwww congratulations Rachel on becoming an auntie again, Oscar Dylan is such a cutie. :smitten:

I'm very thankful for having my nephew Jakub (aged 15) and my niece Katka (aged 9). If my dad hadn't confessed me about my half-brother some twelve years ago, I wouldn't have known about that and the children are very lovely, friendly and helpful. :)

Meanwhile, my half-brother and me have become good friends and I was lucky to see him and his family once a year and I'm counting the days to see them again. :D

Hi Rachel,

Happy to hear that your Mum is OK, that must have been quite a shock.

Your nephew is gorgeous and what a fantastic name - I love it :D Congratulations :cheerz:

I'm glad it looks as though your mum hasn't got anything serious wrong with her Rachel although that must have been a real shock.

Your nephew looks very sweet too :D Let's hope he becomes a smurf collector in the future.

Thanks Sue, although I was suprised by his name as it really wasn't what I was expecting, I agree, it is a great name. :D
Let's hope he becomes a smurf collector in the future.
I will of course be working on it. :-D

I also have a three year old neice and she normally goes home with a smurf after every visit. :grinning:

Poor Rachel I can see her fitting padlocks to all the doors as she reads this just in case any of us decide to pay her a visit now :)

Talking of dogs Rachel...we have just bought a puppy. She will not be ready to come home until the 27th of July but that leaves plenty of time to dog-proof the house! :dogrun:

Well Rach, think small, think cute and sweet and cuddly and affectionate and then think the opposite....she is a rottweiller and we have named her Xena (yes as in Princess Warrior). I have some photos on here already of her when she was 3 weeks old so will try and add one-well I will get Jessica to do it. (Jus remember its taken me 2 years to add a photo of what I look like on here) :)
We are all looking forward to her arrival and yesterday went to buy all the bits and pieces that she will need-which caused some arguments but only because I think Jessica is getting confused between a rottie and a pug. She couldn't seem to understand that it was not going to be wearing little fluffy jackets and co-ordinating boots to go for a walk-yes my daugther wants to be the next Paris Hilton
