2005 Smurfs Picture

Hi guys, well we can now see what the new 2005 smurfs are going to look like. They are different molds (although I think the Papa does look a little similar to 2.0424 Papa Thinking  ).
There will be better pics to follow soon but this does at least answers our questions.

So, who prefers which?

To be honest, I haven't actually had a chance to have a good look myself yet so I will post my thoughts a little later ..............

Why is it called "common sense" when it is so rare.......

Vanity is winning the poll....mmm....are you sure he isn't voting for himself here under different user names?

Dyar

PS - My spy at Schleich has just informed me that the new Grouchy hates the other new smurfs including the other Grouchys that hate him as well as the other new smurfs....you read it here first.

Wouldn't jockey be better named jokey? I thought the jockey was the one beating the dead horse :-? :eyes:
:sheep: Bored of normality, why not go smurf? :sheep:

I like all except not so keen on Papa and Jokey (just because he reminds me of smurf with gift).

I don't understand why the Papa looks so similar to the last one, will have to ask about that. :scratchinghead:

Yeap, exactly my thought, same thing goes for Jockey... and even grouchy... and to a certain extent, smurfette and baby... ...

I really like the new vanity... kinda cool mirror! I'm also not too excited about the Jokey. He reminds me also of the smurf with gift which I haven't liked. Would have been much cooler if they switched up the coloring on the box. Would have loved to see a white box with blue ribbon or something more classic. I've always been partial to less color is more though....

Or a bomb? Can you imagine the reaction? :)

Polka dotted or gold would've been cool.. Silver would have been awesome!

He does look boring, seriously.

Here comes a problem though. Except for vanity and the baby, the others are identical to the original ones. How is one supposed to keep them apart, numberwise?

Postby IndigoSmurf » Tue Nov 23, 2004 10:17 pm
GREAT point Astro... if someone asks me for a grouchy and papa with his hands behind his back, it becomes more confusing to ask do you mean the new one or the old one. I guess numberwise works like you say, but I'm sure you agree a lot of *new* collectors don't usually use the number distinction.

Is it just me or does Grouchy look like a 4 year old boy who is not so much Grouchy as just being yelled at for doing something wrong?

Ok I have spoken to Schleich about the Papa Smurf and here is the difference: -

Re New smurfs - All the new Smurfs represent completely new moulds although they look very similar to the old ones. We therefore have to give them new numbers, If you look at the current papa in the catalogue you will see his head is slightly turned to the right, and the image of the new papa shows him face parallel to feet looking straight ahead.

So there you go, from the horse's mouth.

Hello! :hiya:

I don't care too much for the new line of SMURFS, but if any i would have to say "VANITY SMURF", "GROUCHY SMURF", and of course SMURFETTE but i still think that who ever decided on doing these SMURF old school molds should be fired.

Anyways maybe next year the SMURFS will be.......... ?
