As every year, our small town had a 4th of July parade today...and it was a bit special as the county celebrates its 150th birthday this year...We had a good turnout for a town of 4,000 people and a very long parade (so long that my step-father got quite antsy at the end for it to be over with :) ) The weather was beautiful and all seemed to be in a celebratory mood...After the parade we had a little fair and tonight there is a street festival with music, food and music...

here are a few picture of today's parade..hillbilly style :) :) :)

people lining up the mainstreet before the parade

The start of the parade....flying of the US and Tennessee flag

we are still a bit behind the times...where cars are concerned....

Our own beauty Queen, the flag she is waving are Bloomers and yes she is holding a chicken in her arms

Uh-oh (again)...Hillbilly Alert

Looks like a nice day out (side) for y'all

I thought you guys would be older than 150 years though...aren't you over 200 years by now since you became independent?

I bet Krystal (Restaurants) would of been doing a roaring trade yesterday as everyone went in for their daily boiled beef hamburgers......or for their first date :) :) I mean, after a Krystal hamburger.....even the bad sex after would seem comparably good I bet.

After a Krystal hamburger, you are too busy puking your guts out to have any kinda sex :-? (At least that's what I've heard...I wouldn't know personally or anything)

I wouldn't know about sex after Krystal (and I most certainly don't know about bad sex :D ).....as I never go to Krystals..... :o ...no wonder I am not really considered a hillbilly or Tennessean :-?

A few of those hillbilly's must have joined our parades up here because ours are not much better, Only instead of horses we have harley's that drive by, much better and they don't make a mess all over the road :) :)

We had the Harleys, too Gerda...

I actually enjoyed it as it seemed that the town came together and just had a great time....I don't know maybe I am just a small town gal in my heart or have a bit of a hillbilly in me...no matter how much I try to hide it :-? :) :) (BUT I do not like Krystal.....let me make that Krystal clear....

Thank you everybody for bearing with me pictures and your nice comments

I am confused...so does that mean you had or didn't have Krystals for lunch that day?

Postby Smurfysmurf » Thu Jul 05, 2007 7:55 pm
I had chick(en) burgers...not Krystal burgers :winks: There is a huge difference...(not in the size though apparently :-? ) :) :) :)

I think even you liked the one I gave you....but then of course....you always had a taste for breast...haven't you :o
