Is the yellow on the white comet normal or is it a reflection of the smurf? :-? :?

I found this picture on ebay....I don't have this variation myself......yet :D

I think it's the regular yellow comet one there Maureen
Long, long ago, deep in the forest, there was a hidden village where tiny creatures lived. They called themselves the Smurfs. They were good.

I do too. The flash makes it look white -- ask the seller to make sure they aren't pulling a fast one :D

Maureen I would ask the seller if they can send you a better picture of the comet . :D

If is truly a white one I think they would not mind doing that !! :-?

Postby Smurfysmurf » Sat Jul 07, 2007 7:20 pm
I have asked the seller and here is her reply, which she also posted on the auction
the first half & underneath the stand is solid white. on top of the last half the colour is more a creamy white/creamy yellow. it doesn't look like the colour has been removed. it looks more like it has aged.
I am still not sure what to think.....I always thought the white comet is solid white... :-?

Yes, I just checked on Dyar's site and saw his ...

This is his...solid white :D

Still, could the white be yellow'd by age?.....I am not going to bid on it...but the yellow just seems fishy to me.....sorry, Fishy :???:

Probably best not to bid...it could be stained or something but I am sure if you have a little patience you will be able to find another one of these quite easy enough.

Hi Mo, hmmmmmm :scratchinghead:

The only thing I can say judging by what the seller has said and the pic is that there must be some colour changing due to age but it is an odd one for sure. I don't think I would bid either. :D

Why is it called "common sense" when it is so rare.......
