This is to any German ice hockey fans out there (Simon x cheesy....).

Do you guys know of the colours that "Mannheimer" play in??

Any pics would be great.

Best wishes

Martin

Long, long ago, deep in the forest, there was a hidden village where tiny creatures lived. They called themselves the Smurfs. They were good.

Here's the kit for the Mannheimer Adler (German champions 2006/07) :-

http://www.adler-mannheim.de/am_trikothistory.php

I hope that helps. Heim = home kit, Auswärts = away kit, Alternativ = alternative kit.

Thanks guys-much appreciated. I see that Karamalz is a sponsor!! That drink must be popular over in Germany.

The reason I ask is that I have got arriving soon the home and away Mannheimer ice hockey promos with keychain. I'll post pics when they arrive.

Many many thanks

MArtin

Why is it called "common sense" when it is so rare.......

btw. Karamalz tastes horrible unless you're a kid :) It comes in a normal beer bottle, looks a bit like Guinness but is alcohol free & tastes really sweet & malty :-P My kids like it though & they call it Kinderbier (children's beer). Lots of breweries make Malzbier, probably with the left over sludge from the bottom of the beer vats  :)

WOW Martin very very nice smurfs ... but I have also two of them at home..

I always thought that the left side is the Commerzbank promo and the other one is "only" a very rare variation...

But indeed the material is red ...

I totally agree with that, Tojo...except ..I didn't even like it as a kid..I think my folks gave it to me knowing pretty well it would turn me off beer for good...all my friends loved it though....I think it had more to do with them feeling grown up when they drank it out of the bottle....acting like they were drinking real beer  .....

Martin, I love those two smurfs you got there :D Something else to put on my want list :-D

Ha ha, that's funny Maureen - a kid that didn't like Malzbier. You could of been the only one in Germany :) The big question though is whether you like real beer

:) :) :) According to some...we don't have real beer in America :) :) :)

I did like the real stuff as a child in Germany though when I was allowed to drink the foamy top of the beer  :)

:haha: It's funny that kids like doing that isn't it Maureen - mine do it too. In England it's just about impossible to do as the beer doesn't usually have any foam so I never had that fun as a kid :)
I'd agree that most American beer is pretty yuk & drinking too much of it causes loss of voice due to all the bubbles. That happened to us when we were there. Luckily there are lots of micro-breweries springing up in the States so maybe there's hope yet

Well...here in Tennessee we have our own home brewn moonshine :drunk: some of it is even legalized now aka JD :)

I think they just start strangers out on beer here to see how they react...when they get that certain aghast look in their eyes....Tennesseans know they have found their own and come out with the real stuff :partyon: (just never ask what it is...just enjoy it)

Do your kids know how to pour the beer? I admit I was quite the bartender at age 5....especially since I got to drink all the foam....

As a matter of fact....I stayed the perfect bartender, me thinks...I was quite popular after I learned the Irish way of making Irish Coffee

jest a tat of coffee in lots of Tullamore Dew
