It's Offical on October 4th i am going to have Cataract Surgery on my left eye, its the worse of the two, but all is not lost, now ill be able to spot Smurfs from far away in stores, instead of having to get right up close to the glass. :-D

Good luck Cal!! I really hope everything works out perfectly so that you can see properly again.

Good eyesight is so valuable. I often wonder what people used to do before glasses were invented / readily available. I would have been bumping into everything all the time 8)

the surgery went better than expected, it is really amazing about the little things like seeing single blades of grass, or noticing a store you never knew existed, though all your friends tell you its been there for years, and the bright colors of my smurf collection, but there is one down side, in my eyes i aged ten years in a few seconds whin i looked in a mirror, thanks to all who thought well of me.

:) :) :)

Glad to hear everythign went well. I value my eyesight so highly so any improvement is well worth it I believe. It's nice to hear everything went well and you can see the obvious improvement.....must feel feel very special to suddenly experience something like that.

I understand about the looking in the mirror bit.....I stopped looking a few years ago......so in my mind I am still 30 and I plan to be that age for years to come.

Excellent to hear all went well Cal. :-D

Although not quite on the same scale, I can appreciate how thrilled you were when you first had the improved sight and noticed new things. I remember when I first got glasses I could see the stars so much better, it was a fabulous feeling. :cloud9:

Me too, except in my mind, I am actually Lara Croft. :)

Lara Croft rocks (not in Dyar's mind though)....

Good to hear your surgery went well, Cal. I had laser correction surgery 4 years ago - the best thing I ever did. I can see everything perfectly without glasses or contact lenses. It's wonderful :cloud9:
