....can have a bit of luck lately....then so can I :D

I had 3 sets of the 2007 Indian Smurfs sitting in a plastic bag since I picked them up from Fishy back in April. For some reason I just hadn't got around to comparing them and adding the 3 sets to the display box which already had one set in there.

I finally got around to doing it today and was hoping to find some type of variation or paint error or something. It was looking pretty grim until I found a minor thing with the 2nd last smurf I checked.

I noticed the tail wasn't painted blue on the Raindancer Smurf. I know it's not anything to get all excited about (so I won't tell you about high-fiving the Jehovah's Witness girl who came to the door later) but it still made me a very happy little Smurfer.

Here's a pic of my discovery

Looking at that pic it reminds me of the old days when I used to think Syd had a tail at the front when he woke up in the morning. Hope he's finding some brotherly love in Philly these days

Hi Dyar. Looking at these pics it reminded me of the sauna smurf :D

I am guessing it this case that it is a paint error where as with the sauna it is a genuine variation ?? :-?

Why is it called "common sense" when it is so rare.......

Hi Sue

Yes you are right. The Indian is an error but the Sauna ones are definately deliberate variations. The W Germany variations do not have the tail painted as if the towel or whatever he is wearing is covering it....whereas the Hong Kong variations have the tail painted as if the tail is poking through the red towel.

Here's my Sauna page that shows both variations for anyone that is interested......pictures explain better me thinks :-?

No I didn't......I know Stace and Moey went to Philly and tried to find him (at least that's what Stace said.....probably to ease a bit of the guilt she feels for losing him).....but no Syd was found sadly.

I guess from now on it's just me and Syd Jr.....maybe I can bring this one up right :D

I know I know....but all I can do is try :-?

I took the Cage Super Smurf out of the cell just to discipline Syd Jr after another misdemeanor on the weekend. I put the Cage Smurf in a little cottage and relied on a deal we had to not suddenly disappear. The Cage Smurf hasn't been complaining too much......that may be because he's now is on the run somewhere in the livingroom.....we think anyway.

I have sent a few of the Police variations out to search for him and hopefully I will get him back.......he may be very sorry for running away cos when I get my hands on him he will be sharing the cage with Syd......and they're ain't a lot of room to lie down and sleep in those things. I may have to put 2 cages together and build a double cell in the future.

I think you should leave them each in solitary confinement - there is no telling what kind of trouble they can both get into. :-D

Well it's about time I taught you something Rach after years of being your student at Blue Imps University

Actually credit should go to Sue who mentioned it as I totally forgot about this like so many other things I have discovered and simply forgot over time......I guess that's why I have a website to record and remember such things cos I have a memory like a fish

Interesting, didn't realise Sauna could ever have a tail .... guess that's another one I'll be needing then!

I have 3 and they all don't have tails -
Bully W Germany
Schleich Hong Kong
Schleich W Germany

Do Hong Kong Sauna's usually have tails then? What is the tail situation in the world of saunas at large? Puzzling.
