I got this variation a while back and it seems odd to me that the white pastetube is not shiny like the smurf. I am not sure it is stripped of the color as I see no residue of any color but it looks odd to me. I know several members have the same variation and I was wondering if the tube on yours looks like mine or if I have been had on this one

Hi Moey, I have this little chap as well. As far as I am concerned, the toothpaste should be raw / unpainted. I remember getting mine a few years ago from Pete in 2003. Here is what he says about it:

The toothpaste tube was to be painted red with the promo imprint "Colgate." Schleich sold these extra pieces in 2003 when they unloaded all their old stock because new laws made the PVC softener they used illegal.

I am sure I have also heard a theory that some of these were destined for another promo but I can't remember which one?

Have no idea how true this was though?
