Hi Simon

since you did so well with the Werder Bremen topic I have decided to give you another mission!!! :)

In the DSK the "Herta Berlin" schlumpfe is shown as having light blue top and shorts. However I have never ever seen the H Berlin emblem/flag.

A friend has since told me that this smurf is in fact an older/different football kit for "1860 Munchen"

I believe that there are slightly different kits for Bayern Munchen and Hamburg in the Bundesligaschlumpfe.

Can you look into this? Is it true that 1860 had a different coloured kit which is light blue?????

Many many thanks Detective X
:)
Martin

Hi Martin,

here's a quite good link showing both the BSC kit (at the top) & 1860 München (at the bottom) along with their logos:-

http://images.google.de/imgres?imgurl=h ... a%3DN&um=1

As you can see, both clubs wear blue. I don't know anything about older kits though. I couldn't find any pictures of them.

Hi Martin,

I think, the problem with the kit (What is right in English? Jersey, kit or tricot? :) ) colours is that they could have changed since 1980...I will look if I can find out something about the older jerseys, but I think, that will be difficult...

BUT in the KSM "Comicfiguren" catalogue 2000/2001 you can read the following on page 90:

Hinweis zu 13: diese Figur gibt es auch mit den "alten" 1860-er Trikotfarben - hellblaues Trikot mit weißem, Kragen, weiße Hose und hellblaue Stulpen.

That means:

Addition to nr. 13 (1860 München): this figure is also existing with the "old" 1860-kit colours - light blue tricot with white collar, white trousers and light blue gaiters/cuffs.

So according to that catalogue (it doesn't list a Hertha BSC Berlin smurf) there are two 1860 München smurfs outside. :D
Maybe that means that the Bundesliga smurfs are only of the seasons 1980/81 and 1981/82. :D

I hope, I was able to help with an other Bundesliga question. :)

I just found a bit about the 1860-kits in 1980/81:

http://www.tsv1860.de/de/archiv/saisonr ... _kader.php

You can see a black-white photography and below Rudi Völler with his kit...And it really looks like the one of the "Hertha BSC" Bundesliga smurf in the DSK... :D

BTW: What I noticed is the fact that the white stripe on the shoulder is not visible in the DSK but at my one has this white stripe on the shoulder.

Outstanding reply thanks a million.

So are we all in agreement then : the Herta Berlin is in fact 1860 Munchen??? :) :)
