Applause , the division of WBerrie made the 2 easter egg smurfs from 1984 amongst others. Have you noticed that applause is spelt with one "p" on these smurfs? A geeky aside I grant you but one nevertheless

Well spotted Martin I was convinced mine were different markings and didn't even have applause on them . So thank you for the photos Graham, I never would have found the marking without them . The writing on your images is far clearer than I can see with my own eyes on my smurfs

Well spotted Martin.

Firstly I thought that I didn't have the same figures as I had it spelt correctly on Blue Imps but alas, it seems my eye sight is getting worse as I get older, because having just check my smurfs, both mine are like yours.

I'll try and remember to correct the markings at some point.

I remember reading about this spelling mistake on the forum previously but for the life of me couldn't remember what smurfs were involved......so thank you Martin for bringing this up. When I get back home I will check out my smurfs too and correct the info on my site and personal catalogue.
