Really nice Smurfette Hilary - congrats
Long, long ago, deep in the forest, there was a hidden village where tiny creatures lived. They called themselves the Smurfs. They were good.

You're right, Staci, she would. When should I expect the train? :-D :winks: I'm sad that you and Moey couldn't have one too but I'm not sorry I jumped in there first. :neener:

There's no trace that she used to be a lamp except for some drill holes. I did a search on the mark and it turns out he's a German designer called Melek Fecht. I found a pic of another lamp he's made but this one's a bee. :D

She's slightly taller than the "gnome" smurfs. I'll take some comparison pics tomorrow. :-D

That looks like 'Biene Maja' from the cartoon show. my kids used to watch that when they were smaller.

By the way the swing smurfette is gorgeous :D

I used to watch her, too when I was a wee bit of a girlie :) :) :)

She used to be my favorite cartoon character...
 now I have the title song sung by Karel Gott (?) in my head and it won't go away :banghead: :banghead:

Isn't it odd what you remember from way back when? :)

OH, another memory :) :)

I used to spend the night once or twice a week at Granny's when Mum was out with her Young Christians group, and Granny and I would watch "the Onedin Line" and then the Sandmannchen....after which I always slept very very well :-D

You can come & practice your German with us whenever you like Gerda :D

I'm sure Simon would love to sit & watch Sandmännchen with you too although he is a bit of a zapper so I'm never really sure what he's watching most of the time :)
