Are you able to ask the seller for close up pictures of the sockel to see if there are traces of glue?
For some reason the smurf doesn't make much sense to me to be on this particular sockel so I personally would be careful before I spend a lot on it...but if you can get it for a good price, it certainly is a nice item to have

The smurf itself is as good as any other smurf on that one...e.g. the Ektatit has also the King smurf and is promoting for steel too.
The only thing is that with that big figure nobody can check for some glue from a former figure because it will be simply not visible.
But I will risks some bucks and see if I'm getting a promo or a fake...
The thing that confuses me is that Mertens has released more promo sockels but they look very differently..which makes me wonder if this promo sockel belongs to a different figure

yes... I have several other that Dr. Mertens Stahl. But normally you see earlier or later some of these stands with other figures (e.g. Breuer is certainly a fake with smurf attached). But in this case I really never seen this socket at all...
