I've started reading the SCII letters (http://www.forum.bluecavern.com/viewtopic.php?t=10670) Maureen has kindly put on the Internet for us.

The first one (http://www.hiddeninthewoods.com/files/Summer_1986.pdf) mentions under the Variations section in p1

"20004 Shiver : Red scarf, yellow scarf, orange scarf.
Injected in blue, unpainted with exception of eyes"

Sorry can anyone shed light on what this means please, does this mean an all blue smurf (ie no white) except eyes and scarf colour?

Either way would anyone have a picture of the orange version I could see please? Thanks.

I like this shiver variation a great deal as well! In fact, I tend to like the shiver smurf quite a lot anyway!

Ummm that might mean absolutely nothing to anyone outside the U.K...Pete Burns was the singer in the 80`s band Dead or Alive...Oh!!...i guess you`ll just have to google it!

The injected with blue part would mean made of blue PVC, unpainted would mean raw. You probably already knew that but I thought I would look silly for the sake of it.

I met Pete Burns in 1996 or 97 when he came to Sydney. I was never a fan of Dead or Alive or anything but we interviewed him for MTV at the time. He looked very different from the 80s where he was best remembered. I am now trying to imagine Shiver against Pete Burns to see the resemblance.....maybe this will help...
