Hi I am having a push on supers of late.

I am hoping to correlate the country of origin of the smurf with the box.

Most of the time this works out eg W German papa teacher with Schleich # on bottom of box with German description. However, I have quite a few HK smurfs with German boxes. Do you all collect supers in this way?

Thus I am trying now to buy matching boxes on ebay which is proving a bit of a nightmare.

Out of interest most of the Portugal supers should have a Maia and Borges sticker on the super box which is nice to have.

I must admit that I do find Supers and their correct boxes a bit confusing :???: I think it's because there is so little info. (even with DSK and websites) matching supers to their original boxes.
I have recently purchased 3 Applause boxes, and then I was wondering how to go about finding the exact correct smurfs to go in them :-?

I don't think I've ever seen a Maia & borges sticker, but then I doubt I have any portudal supers either :-? :-)

I must admit it is not easy to say. WHat I know for sure that the boxes coming from France have Hong Kong in it

I am going thru my supers at the moment to put them on my site and came across this old thread.
I was wondering, how many of you are only looking for the supers in their boxes and won't buy them without the box. and how many are willing to buy only the box, if you already have the smurf.

I was also interested to read that Martin has the super boxes with the Majas & borges sticker that came with the Super smurf made in Portugal. I only have one of the Portugal supers and it didn't come in a box.
Martin, can you post a picture of the box as I would really love to see what it looks like.

After all the work with sorting the supers and putting the correct accessories to the correct smurf (markings and all) I have to admit that I probably will only buy supers with their boxes from now on... :) unless it's a rare variation of course

and lastly..to anybody throwing away the boxes because you'd rather display the smurf and think you don't need the box...DON'T DO IT :banghead:

I got an english box Canoe Super a few weeks ago from Portugal, with a Majas & borges sticker on it. Funny thing was, the canoe or smurf has NO markings on at all
Long, long ago, deep in the forest, there was a hidden village where tiny creatures lived. They called themselves the Smurfs. They were good.

I'm afraid I'm not bothered about the boxes. :o If I want the smurf I'll buy it with or without the box. The boxes I've got I'm keeping but only because I think I should. I certainly haven't bothered noting which smurfs came with which boxes. Of-course, I may regret that in the future, but who knows! :)
