Hi at all,
As there were some rumours about a new smurf series coming in the Ferrero Kinder Surprise eggs, it is now official. They will be the autumn series and released on 13th Octobre 08. :D
In the picture you can see that the smurfs' sockels are mixed. There are nine figures, but there will probably be a tenth bonus figure. I don't think the smurfs are as good as the old ones from the 80s, but I surely will buy, eat and collect the Surprise Eggs again. ;)

In case someone doesn't know the Kinder Eggs here is a thread where it was explained:

edit 2:

I put this thread in the "Smurf Collectors' Corner" part, but it would better fit in "Smurfy News", so... :D

Oh that is great news :woohoo:

how long do they usually keep these in the eggs? I will be in Germany the last week of November and first week of December and it would be great if I was able to pick those up....if not I will just ask my Granny to stock up on Kinder eggs before I arrive..... :-D I wonder if there will also be some nice display items...

Thank you for posting this, Simon

Thanks for the info Simon :D , I wonder if we will get these in the UK :???:
Long, long ago, deep in the forest, there was a hidden village where tiny creatures lived. They called themselves the Smurfs. They were good.

I received the latest Eierlei Newsletter which mentions them too :-D
They mention that the stands / sockels are mixed so that you have to collect all the figures to get all of the stands too.
Angler has a cushion belonging to Lazy for example.

I am definitely going to buy loads of eggs so that I can get a set & my kids will probably be overdosing on chocolate :) :)

They are also mentioned here:-

I wondered why Handy had Jokeys present in that photo :)

At the bottom of the latest Eierlei news page they're showing what the six-packs are going to look like:-

http://www.eierlei.de/index.php?R=2

In each 6 pack it's guaranteed that 2 smurfs are to be found.

Why oh why do we have to wait until October :o :-? :banghead: :banghead:

I don't want the summer to end    But the smurfs are due out when the weather turns shitty :banghead: :banghead: :) :?

Looks like they are being released a week before my birthday...

NOW I know what I want for my birthday...lots of Kinder chocolate :) :)

the good thing is that my mother loves Kinder chocolate..which makes it really easy to know what to bring home to her..as long as she gives me the smurfs :-D and the display box of course :) :)

I love this one and wouldn't mind owning it myself :gimme:

nope, wouldn't mind doing so at all :-D

Does anybody know how to get one other than ebay? Is it a promotional item that the stores will have for showcasing? :-?

No idea Maureen :-? It's beautiful though.

Most of the series from the eggs have a diorama that you can buy. I have one of the ones for the Lord of the Rings sets. It's made of card & you have to assemble it yourself (which I haven't bothered to do).

Eierlei.de often has them for sale so I'll have to keep an eye out there...

It looks like it is made out of thick paper :-?

I guess this is the first of it's kind on ebay so the prize is high, hopefully it will come down soon...I really would love to have one of them but not for that much :) :) :) :)
