Look what I received today from Australia. An angry smurf that is molded into the same material as the Philips cube.
Does anyone know something where it comes from ?
I really love this one.... What a great smurf for me....

Wow cool. Never seen anything like that. Probably molded in by someone hehe. You might have an unique piece there

I expect it's homemade too as it was very popular in the 1970's & 1980's to make those perspex paperweights etc. I never had one of those sets for making them but I do remember them being the 'in thing'.

Whatever the origin, I love it Tine :-D

I agree with Tijn and Tojo...probably home-made but what a unique article....You are indeed very lucky to have found it, Tine :D

I suspect if it's not home-made it will have some markings, so I would be interested to learn more when you receive it

@tojo this sounds interesting... do you know something how I can do it today? I would love to put some of my smurfs into such stuff... :) :) :) :) :)

@maureen... no markings at all. Maybe it is home made or something gone lost.

But anyway... I love this smurf

@tine: I've had a look in Google & Amazon for 'Briefbeschwerer' & 'resin' but only found readymade ones & nothing about how to make them. Obviously you have to make a mold, pour in some liquid resin, add the figure & then fill up the rest of the mold & then let it go hard but there must be more to it than just that. Maybe in a ctraftshop (Bastelbedarf) they might be able to help. If I remember I'll have a look here in Frankfurt as there's a very good shop just off the main shopping street. It won't be until next week though.
