The smurf tour arrived to Helsinki today!!! I got a message from a reporter friend and heard that the smurf tour will arrive to Railway Station at 7.30 am. I was there at 7.00 just to make sure.

I managed to collect a few extra smurfs too so if those I have promised to give one (Steven, Maureen...) would contact me if you still want a smurf.

Ooh this was a lucky day!! It was so much fun to see children and adults look at the smurfs so carefully and then walk away with a smurf and with a big grin on their face. I managed to take pics too. I will download then to my site this evening. I'm just SO happy!!

Later today I will go and see the exhibition and if I can get out of work then also the press conference.

I don't suppose you have a spare tag from Helsinki do you Yonna? I mean the ones that hang around the smurf's necks, as I'm looking for one for my white smurf that hasn't got a tag... I imagine that most of the kids would have thrown them away.

I did take pictures but I was standing in one place because the press wanted to interview me (just to tell that it may still not show at the news). I saw from the videa at the website that they really were all over the city! Unfortunately all my pics are fro mthe same place.

@Yonna: that is exactly the sort of tag I'm after I have one from Gent which Christy sent me with a white smurf but I have another white smurf which came directly from the Unicef shop without a tag & I'd like him to have one too if possible.

I would be eternally grateful to you if I could possibly have a Finnish tag

Thanks for sharing the piccys and vids Yonna. Europe (and Scandinavia) is so lucky having the migrating smurf infestation. We definately are enjoying seeing what our wee blue (white) freinds are up to on their big European OE.

I can't get over the quantity of the wee chaps, all lined up like that. ... and the passers by seem bemused by them all. If I was there I would take the day off and bask in their smurfyness. Roll around in a sea of smurf like what people dream they'll do when they win a ton of cash.
