These are not being sold by Toys-R-Us, I checked today.

They are tho being sold in WALMART - 15.97 plus tax for the playsets, the ebay seller is trying to rip everyone off!!

I just checked walmart online and they are not there. How do you know they are at walmart? Did you see them in the store. (fingers crossed as I am heading to walmart today and will be going up and down the isle with a microscope checking for little smurfs.) I do know they did not have them Monday because I was just there, they are getting rid of all the indiana jones toys, poor Nicoli, but good for us if they replace these with smurfs.

Wal-mart has different prices...at least down here they do, so you probably need to compare prices or we can post them on here. We have several in Chatty and one in Dunlap and all have different prices and products

I would like to know the size of these new smurfs.
Are they similar to Schleich´s or bigger?
Honestly, I think the perfect size of a smurf is the one we´re used to and I´m not interested in bigger smurfs like for example the articulated McDonalds.
But if these new ones are regular-sized they will be my next target for sure!!

Actually they are maybe a hairs breath taller, almost the same size, and they pvcs look great in the house playsets!!

I just checked the walmart in my brothers town and they did not have them, I even asked the clerk and she looked at me as if i'm asking to buy crack from her Will be calling a bunch of other walmarts in the area (I have sevarl that are within 30 minutes from me)

Knowing Tennessee, I'd say it will take us a few weeks before we get to see the new smurfs in the local stores, but I have a feeling I'll know as soon as they show up in Tennessee or Georgia. I have friends who usually let me know (they did about the DVDs and the plushes and were disappointed when I already had them)

For everyone wanting to run right out to Walmart and buy these, slow down. Turns out the Walmart by me put them out a little early, that is why I only found the house playsets. By the end of next week they told me all the walmarts should have them out, the stores have to do the seaoson reset on the toy departments before putting the new products out and most stores should be done by next weekend.

I went to toys R us last night and didn't find any. Now I have to go to Walmart. Sam Walton was from my town. He went to school with my MOM. So we have three walmart supercenters and a Sam's. I guess I will have to check all 4 of them. I do a lot of traveling so I can check all the walmarts in my area.

Ok more update on release time for the toys. I went to the Walmart where I got the playsets yesterday, and of course bough the last 3 they had on the shelf. While I was there I talked to the Toy Department manager, and he told me it was ok for me to buy them, but they are not even supposed to be on the shelve syet until after the reset of the department, and the actual release date on the is 2 weeks from now!! I told him about the ones on eBay, and he told me that there was a memo from Walmart about those auctions, and if anyone could give info on who the seller is they would like to know as those are not supposed to be out, apparently this person saw them in the backroom, bought them and is now selling them on eBay. Now buying something and selling it on eBay is not against any rules, but buying it before the release date is against the rules for the employees!

there is another seller who actually does not live too far from me that has them on there now too.

Robert stoped at a walmart on his way home and he talked to the toy manager and she said that by the end of next week they should be out as they are reseting there toys. guess the woman who gave me the funny look has a rude awakening when she has to stock the shelves with smurfs

Thanks for letting me know Bluemouse. I would have gone tomorrow. The girl I talked to at toys R us seemed excited when I mentioned the Smurfs. I would guess she was only 25 or so. I find that most people are either faceinated or confued that I collect Smurfs.

yeah there were a couple different sellers on ebay now with them. high priced. I can wait to buy the houses and figures, wait to see if these toys make it to Australia. I don't see why they wouldn't. The new carebears made by the same company are available here. Might just take a long wait until next year. The playsets and figures are nice but if I import it all and then they are released here then all the excitement will be gone, I'll already have everything. So I'll be patient.. however I will import the 5 plush smurfs! So if anyone comes across them, my order is 1 of each please, hehe

So some Wal-mart stores have put the toys out too early. Best to keep checking your local stores, you might be lucky to find them like BlueMouse.

Brad, if you decide not to wait any longer, just let any of us know and we will get it for you. I'd say by that time you might even find them cheaper over here, but I understand about wanting to buy them in the store yourself

Well you may have to wait for them to hit the shelves at Walmart, but I stopped at TARGET today and they had the figure 2 packs and the beanie smurfs!!! WOOO HOOO!!!
