For everyone wanting to run right out to Walmart and buy these, slow down.

Looks like somebody couldn't wait, Gary :winks:

It was AWESOME seeing Smurfs in the stores after all these years!! I am going to do the one thing some people will cringe to do, I am going to OPEN them!! I have already opened my mushroom house playsets and they are awesome!! All the accessories and stuff that come with them and they open so you can see inside and "play" !!! LOL!!

I will open the figure packs tomorrow, and take lots of pictures of the playsets and figures and post them tomorrow!!

The plush smurfs they've got a Jokey Smurf shown but there is only 5 in the set on ebay and what Gary has brought. No Jokey and no dvd with them. So those plush smurfs on the Target website must be new additions to the already released singing plush. The listings say batteries included and they cost the same price as the Papa, Smurf & Smurfette that are out. So a Vanity and Jokey added to the set! Gary says the other 5 plush are beanie bear size. I thought they'd be larger.

So Target has them now too.

On Play Along's website, it talks about these 5 different beanie smurfs being in the first assortment as if there will be more series (I suppose if the interest holds that is)

Hi All; Today I stopped by Target to look to see if they had any smurf stuff. I found all 6 of the playsets. And 5 plush benie style smurfs. I only bought two of the plush will get the others later. I would post a pic but they are already on here at the begining of this thread. I didn't see the houses I guess I could have missed them.

Hi Tojo; I don't know if you can get them over there. But if you or anyone else needs help let me know. I thought someone said they were $15 a piece the one's I got were only $6 each. They might have been talking about the bedroom set. Or the houses I haven't found them yet. I will look at the other stores again in a week or so.

I hope they add more smurf characters to this line. I'm really into plush smurfs at the moment. Spent all of last year collecting the Trudi plush smurfs, I also completed the large sized PUPPY made set with Normal Smurf (thanks to Christy), and also got the 2 AH plush Smurf & Smurfette and PUPPY same sized Papa. So the Play Along plush really excite me. And if they are adding more of the 12" talking ones I guess I'll have to have them too!

Great photos Gary! Thanks, they look so much nicer I might be tempted to import 1 or 2 and then wait out to see if they come this way.

When I was at Target tonight I did get all 6 of the packaged smurfs. I only got two of the plush they had three more. Grouchy Vanity, And Smurf but I have to eat for the next week I would have passed on Papa and Smurfette but there was only one of each left. Judgeing from the space in the box I would say that I am not the only one buying them. I hope to get the display box also. I will buy what ever they have left next week.

that is great to hear Bill! well done!

Actually there is another seller on ebay, looks like they've brought a whole box full to sell. The box if you look carefully has the words LA LA LA LA LA LA all over it:

If I buy the box it will be for two reasons to have the box and to help any of you out that need help I guess that means selling them but I will only charge the price I paid and shipping Real shipping. A while back I won an auction at MV with a Moon playset, Windmill, Smurfette's bedroom, and a Mushroom playset that was incomplete. Only paid $100 for all of it. So I gave the mushroom playset to a guy from Australia. I boxed it up took it to my office put it on my postage machine and it said $8.65 So he sent me $8.65 for the shipping. When I took it to the post office the clerk said it was $21 I told her I had check it and it should have been $8.65 she said it would be if I had it in a diffrent box I had put it in a Prority Mail box. Rather than ask him to send me the diffrence or repackage it I sent it anyway and paid the extra. Alto I gave it away I didn't feel like he should have paid the diffrence.

You're one of a kind Bill :D That's a bit odd about the box though. For me, a box is a box is a box....!

I guess it's kind of the same thing as Staci's Collectors train center. It's just a dislplay but it is probibly 1 out of 10 left in the world. I am not sure if I ever saw one or not at one point I thought I had but It may have just been what I have sitting on another display.
Mr Bill

Postby Tojo » Fri Jan 09, 2009 9:36 pm
Oops sorry Bill, I meant the box in which you sent the mushroom set not the display box :) I can't see it matters in what box something is sent as long as it doesn't go over a certain size :-? Maybe the US postal service is different to over here.

That display box is special :-D
