robert picked them up at walmart in Oshkosh the same one I just called and they said they would not have them on the shelves until this weekend.

Several things I noticed..
why is there no greedy? There is a greedy house with food goodies but not greedy smurf. Also the smurf that is in this playset is the same smurf found in the 50th anniversary except it is NOT gold (did not check the markings as it is sealed. )
I love the ceiling fan in smurfette's house

The one that is the same in the 50th plush!? Does that mean the smurfs are the same size as the Schleich ones then?!

How much does a each item cost guys? GRRRRR.....can't believe they don't sell them in the UK!

Yup they are about the same size as a pvc, just a hair bigger (not even measurable)

Sorry Gerda, just have to clarify this, the Smurf in the playset and the the Gold one in the 50th box are similar but not the same one. Slightlty different mold and the gold one is not articulate whereas the one in the mushroom house his arms move and head turns, also the Gold one is a little bit larger when you have them side by side.

Dang it. I have to type all that over again. I went to walmart at lunch today. I found the small plush smurf right off the bat. I asked a guy working in the department if they had anything else. He pulled out a little gun and pointed it at some price tags around the plush and said that they had a case of the cars and playsets but he had 15 pallets of toys to put out in the back. He told me he was getting three helpers soon so I decided to go back tonight. I could see three cases of stuff sitting on a pallet but they were working on another one. I almost asked if they would switch off just for me. but decided to wait. I will get them. I pick up 5 of the plush I only needed 3, but decided to get an extra Papa and Smurfette for Max. He had other ideas though when I pulled the first one out of the bag he leaped up and grabbed it and was gone by the time I could catch him it was all wet. So I just let him have it. I stopped at target on the way home and got all the rest of the playsets and the Box. Woo Hoo. Here a couple pic's.

I just looked at the 6 playsets that I got tonight they are 2 Papa and Brainy, 2 Smurfette and Poiet, and 2 Jokey and Grouchy.

Did they have the new Vanity & Jokey plush with dvd? or do you mean just the 3 that are already out. The vehicle set looks nicer than I thought it was. The little smurf in that set looks great, ha.

Those aren't out here yet....the website says 2 to 6 weeks so hopefully very very soon

I picked up more smurfies at Target yesterday afternoon too....the Target is near one of my clients which is about 20 minutes away so I just had to go to Target as it was right there.

Seriously, I was looking for smurfs earlier this week but I couldn't even find the walmart and at toys r us they only had some normal Schleich smurfs like I said before, but not many.

Robert went to target for me last night (since he is braving the cold anyway he might as well go smurf shopping for me right ) Anyway he found the display like Bill showed but no new plushes at target. Acording to the online store they should be in stores now but they only had what walmart has.

Gerda don't worry - the stores (Walmart and Target) are in the middle of thier seasonl set-up change for the toy departments, within the next week they should have them out at the stores near you!!

All the Targets and Walmarts I went to this week (2 of each) had plenty of smurfs (actually the Targets are pretty much sold out now). Target had about one of each of the houses but the Walmarts had a pretty large section of smurfs and a lot of everything. The prices were different and higher at Walmart though, which was interesting as it usually is the other way round. The house sets were about $1.00 higher at Walmart so I got them at Target and ordered more online.

My house looks like a smurf store at the moment...which will change tonight when I pack it all up

Here is how it looks right now after a week of smurf shopping....Mogli looks like he is ready to shop now...or to move out



Another interesting thing I noticed...it seems that each store had 1 Handy playset only...I'd be interested to learn if that is true for others as well and if this means the Handy playset may be rarer. There were a bunch of Papa & Brainys to make up for it though. Also Walmart only had the plush display boxes but not the playset ones (needless to say the two Targets I visisted no longer have any display boxes right now)

My Walmart had the same prices as Gerda's...Target's are as following:
Plushes and Playsets $5.99
Houses $14.99
But like I said..the Targets in my area are sold out
