since I'm a complete idiot with creating a forum or a website...

which I wouldn't mind starting as well..

one for fakes and homemades..and rare smurfs,and stuff!!!

can it be done so fast??? I thought it took alot of planning??

is it hard>>?? to do one?? any advice????

my website is sitting there like a dead duck??

You can slap together a up and running forum in about 15 minutes to half an hour...easy....then you ned to configure the colours, style and Logo...easy peasy if you know how...shout if you need some help...

When it comes to computer stuff I am pretty useless but if I can help in anyway I would be honoured to of course.

I hope your site moves forward as you have some great smurfs that not everyone focuses on when they see one....however a whole collection of them would be very eye catching and a great resource forum. I know I would like to have a fake/rare smurf resource to refer to and I think it would be very unique which is a good thing. Perhaps Rachel could be very useful too although she is a busy girl it would seem lately...LOL. I hope you don't mind answering mine and everyone's questions regarding fakes Attom....but hey.....who ya gonna call.

Hi Attom, I think a website dedicated to fake smurfs is a great idea. You probably have one of the largest collection of fakes around and to be able to use it as a reference and have your knowledge of fakes available would be wonderful. The more smurf websites around the better but to focus on such an important part of the hobby in detail on a site is fantastic.

Although Ösi-Schlumpf's Homepage focuses on fakes, he concentrates mainly on repaints and creative smurfs being sold on Ebay, I don't think there is any site that specifically looks at collecting fakes and fake smurfs that have been sold over the years. Please do it.

If you want any help, give me a shout.

Regarding a forum, if you have the right type of hosting, setting up a forum is relatively straight forward. It takes a while to customise it to make it look pretty and set up the features like posting pics but the basic thing can be done pretty quickly. Again, if you want any advice or help PM me or email. A forum specialising in fake smurfs might be a fab idea.

ps. Dyar, you are right, sorry I have been a bit busy the last day or two, guess what I have been doing? Yep, setting up a forum for someone.

Gee we are a multi talented lot aren't we....and in my case it's just something I've always had....I've never needed to work at it much which is strange because I only usually bore people once and they never seem a need to come back for more......hate to brag but I must do such a good job the first time around.
