ok I will try later for the picture (it's only a nice pic of the six smurf but from pic directly from basf)
here some info about the inside of the basf smurf

Perhaps it might be interesting for you: It contains 25 percent of our Hexamoll DINCH, a new plasticizer which was developed to serve the markets in the medical, toy industry and food wrapping industries. For those who are interested: It’s not only 25 percent Hexamoll DINCH, it’s 35 percent of petrochemicals in addition in this little smurf.

So they make this smurf with schleich to promot their new polymer

this is the first smurf with new pvc inside

Hi, Millou!!!!!!!Welcome to the forum!!!!!!!!

I have read the new polymer was introduced in 2002...so don´t you think smurfs from 2003-2009 can be made of this material??????It seems the smurfs of last few years are harder and different quality :-? :-? :-? :-?

We have two things in common: smurfs and Chemistry...I am chemist too!!!! :D :D

Hi everyone so first my name is lilou not milou (like the name of a well known dog)

So for the information, the basf smurf the DINCH is made with this new polymer....schleich did that for basf as an exemple of what they can do with this new polymer. So as I mentioned before 25 percent of the basf smurf is the hexamoll polymer.

We can imagine for safety and health reason hat schleich is gonna made smurf and other figurine using this polymer. The polymer is on the market and for basf this smurf is the proof and a commercial support to sell their new polymer.

last news from my friend :

"I just talked to the product manager who is in charge of the plasticizer those things are made with. I was informed that these are exclusive VIP-gifts. The company which is producing them is not allowed to sell them, infact BASF owns the forms they are molded into. They may be ordered by department heads or higher in hierarchy"

Intresting info Lilou,

and thanks for it.

I have a question for you. Dr Dinch was given away many years ago now( seems like it anyway :) ). Have they made new issues of this? You say it is new material in these. Are the material the same in the dr Dinch given away last time and the one given away this time. Because I got one of the new Dr Dinch also and I wonder if it could be different material compared with the last one?

Thanks
/André

Hi everyone,

I just went to town and got the smurfs from the friends father.

Guess if I was happy when I opened the package and got the displaybox together with the smurfs. :-D

I thought when the seller only had 2 smurfs up for auktion and it was these 2, that if I buy both I might get the box aswell.

And this also makes me sure it is genuine.

So how do you want the pictures???

I haven´t taken them out yet???

Should I take a picture of the markings under her?

Or if you want a picture of her markings you can PM me.

I will take a picture of the front instead.

Gerda,

In my opinion these are given out like in the boxes the CEO of BASF showed.

The seller I bought these from seems to have been written a lot of articles about BASF and maybe he got it from the news conference in Ludwigshafen.

Gerda,

I think these are given away like this. And if they are I don´t think I made such a expensive deal after all. Because I got both the smurfs and the box for under 100 euro and I guess that this "package" will end up around 50, +-20 depending on if there is a fair or it is like Lilou wrote: " these are exclusive gifts for VIP-customers"

here is a picture of her.

I like her a lot, but if I should "complain" about something, I think they could have made her eyes better. You know the eyes are important on girls. :D

I compared the pictures of the box that the CEO is holding on the picture and mine. The colours look almost the same. But I think it is the darkblue label on hexalotte in his box.

I was thinking if the seller made an interwiev with the CEO of BASF after this conference and got it from him. That would be great to know. :D

But I don´t think he will answer me on that question. :)

There is actually a intresting thing about the moldyear of the Hexalotte.

You're really lucky to have this set André & thanks for showing us the closeups.

I like Hexalotte a lot too but as you say the eyes are a bit strange. I think that she could do with eye-lashes.
