@Nance: Enjoy the beautiful tuscany, Nance. :smitten:

@Joaquin: Have a safe and smooth walk, brother. If you knew a little more German, so that you would be able to read this excellent book called "... ich bin dann mal Weg" by German comedian Hape Kerkeling. Kerkeling went to Santiago de Compostela about eight years ago. Nevertheless, this book is being translated into English at the moment and is due to be released later that year. :D

You'll have a lot of fun, Joaquin :D

Growing up, Mum and I would often go on hikes searching for caves on the Schwaebische Alb (close to where I grew up) for an extended weekend...and we went on biking tours thru Ireland for many years :-D

I may skip the summer vacation this year. I know I will go to Germany this year, but I am not sure yet when as this is dependent on how things work out with a family member of mine..and when I go it won't be a vacation but I'll be helping out with a huge move

I am wanting to go on a roadtrip thru some states of the US, but I don't feel like doing it alone, so I am trying to talk friends of mine into joining me :o

Hehehe, I might be around Santiago de Compostela sooner or around that date. :-D

We're driving to Portugal 13th or 14th July, and returning around the 30th, and that is one of the places I want to stop and visit. Even though it's "out of the direct route". It adds about an 1 hour or 2 to the trip.

Just have to decide if it'll be on the go trip, or on the return trip. :D

Well, I'm back to usual as allways (just a few days more of vacation, then it's back to work :whip:

Anyway, I had a great time!
Took a few pictures to share with you all. :D

Drive to Portugal took 3 days (2 nights) and we stopped a few hours (3 or 4) in Bremen in Germany and at the Parc Astérix in France to visit. :-D
Drive back we mainly drove strait with only rest, eat and sleep breaks and it took 2 days (1 night).
It was much better than I expected, so we might do it again in the future.
I saw some schleich smurfs (very expencive might I add!) and the smurf comic albuns (but they costed double of what I wished and decided to pass on them this time).
