ahh.. lol Those are very strange looking beanies.. what were they thinking making them look like that. Are they supposed to look like vintage/old smurfs or more baby toy friendly? And I agree they look like they've been through the washing machine a million times.

Hi Bradley; Yea they are kind of ugly too. I was about to PM you I got 2 Jokeys but only 1 Brainy. Let me know what you want me to do.

What is so funny about these is the hat and shoes Smurfette or pants other Smurfs are pretty much the same materal as the old Smurf benies. And for some reason they changed the tags. I can't imagine that 2 inches of card board can cost that much. Changing the screen print to make diffrent cards would cost quite a bit. But I am pretty sure they are from jack's Pacific.

The tags look like the front of the new Smurf Figure Sets.
You think they sewn the material backward by mistake? LOL.

Thanks Smurfysmurf. I'll keep you in mind.
There's definitely no way I can get to a Wal-Mart any time soon, but I'll try.

You made that into a joke but you might have just hit the nail on the head with that remark. I am not going to cut one open to find out. Maybe when Max finally tears one of his open we will have our answer.

I don't like the look of the material on those newer beanies! :( Great to see that the new stuff is hitting the stores though. :-D :) :)

I did some investigation yesterday on them. If you feel the eye's and mouth of the old one's it is like a small patch sewn on. I checked out the newer one's and they don't have that patch. So I guess these are totally new, But they are really ugly. Also they were $1 cheaper than the others.

Does anybody know if Toys R Us will carry the smurf sets in their stores as well?

I could order them, but I don't want to pay for the shipping and I'd rather buy them in the store, just so that they keep having them in the stores.

I did buy the windmill online from Target (since they didn't state it will be available in the stores) and with shipping and tax it was an additional $10.00.

HaHa they are an early Birthday present that I told my husband he bought for me. He said in reply that it was the easiest shopping he's ever done! :) :)

I don't know how much gas is where you live or how close your nearest target or toys-r-us is, but being in a big city here, I figured ordering them and paying the 10.00 shipping for the 6 theme packs was worth it, that way I didn't have to run all around Dallas checking the different store locations and using up gas!

I'm taking a trip to Target again tomorrow. The website is saying they
have the Painters Smurf House in the store, but I'm not going to get my
hopes up and then when I get there they might not have it.

Maureen, I'm not sure if they are going to carry the theme packs in the stores or not. I emailed ToysRus and asked about the other sets that they have for sale that are marked online only. I was curious about how they were packaged. If they were individually wrapped or if they came in a set in a specially marked box or something like that :-? I already have all of the American Native set but if it was in a special box I would probably buy the set again for the box. They emailed back and said that they couldn't find out for me as the customer service isn't located in the same place as where they are shipped from.
