Hi all,

let's have a look into 1985, new with Smurf Farm (please notice the chimney is on the wrong side of the roof  on the displayed prototype model, this was changed until start of prodcuction), the megarare smurf castle :D , a few additional X-mas, 12 wooden funny pictures, really some goodies...

Don't skip any page, please check out the 1985 Schleich Dealer Catalogue DIN A4, I haven't photographed all pages, only the smurf related.

My next upload will be the legend: 1986 soon, be prepared :)

Had to reduce file size and resolution, high-res. on request.

On page 64...are those the super smurfs in the blisters? It looks a bit like it but I wasn't sure. Was this the only year they were relased like this?

Some of the keychains are shown on cards as well and if I read the description correctly it said there are certain smurfs released like this. Does anybody know if they were really sold like this? It looks like there were 12 on one card :-?

Maureen,

on the pic are Normal and Super in blisters, I remember I got a few normals in blister but removed them out, at least I saved one of the empty blisters and stored it somewhere in a box

The same presenter is shown in 1986 too.

Page 53 tells there are 12 keyrings on card, 5.0118 sportsmurfs and 5.0119 smurfs. I don't know if they were delivered to stores in this style, I can't remember :(

Maureen,

as Stefan told before the pictures they take are "older" than the year the catalogue is from, because they took what they had when they made the catalogue, so the boxes and smurfs don´t always look like the ones in the catalogues. For example in catalogue from 86 you have pictures of superboxes in one stand and these supers like the gardener and sign bearer was not sold 85 or 86.

In 84 they had to put the ages-warning on the boxes, therefore they changed the boxes and added ages warning and it seems at the same time they changed the design of the boxes. There are also some late superschlumpf-boxes with the ages-warning. The easiest way to is to compare the boxes to know this.
If you look at the blisters they almost always has the older superschlumpfbox without ages warning inside. So maybe it could have been a way for Schleich to sell these old boxes in 85/86 and put the warning on the blisterpack instead??? For me it seems odd to have "double" wrapping on the smurfs otherwise??? :-?
André

In Sweden the smurfs are blue ( and yellow).
