Hi All; I just went to TRU to look around. I noticed that they had gotten another quick stepping Smurf. I was curious because the one they had last week didn't work. I Pressed the hand of the new one and it started with the song that begins all the cartoons. It must have went through 4 slow and 4 fast steps and went through the whole song. The other two I have only play about 5 seconds and either go fast or slow but not both. Do I have a new version or is there a switch on the others. I would take one of the old ones off the box, but I would be taking my life in my hands to do so. I have never seen Max this excited. He jumped on me many times and barked and whined. Almost funny to watch.

OK everyone; I figured it out. On the bottom of one of the feet there is a 3 position switch. One says off, one says try which is what 2 of mine do and the other says on. Which is what the new one does. I took one to work so I could get it away from Max. someone on MV told me about the switch.

Thanks for letting us know. I haven't gotten mine out of the box yet (or even tried it out yet) so I couldn't have told you anything about it

I am looking forward watching Mogli trying to catch the smurf though :D

Hi Moey; I found out last night that the 50th anniversary Smurf also has a switch. It last a little longer, but nothing like the quick stepping Smurf. I tried to find a switch on the others but didn't. I had to take one to work so I could open it. Max wouldn't let me even hold it at home. He always thinks everything should belong to him that I bring home, but he is 10 times worse about these.
