Cheers everyone..I am sorry I couldn't share this with you all, but I signed an agreement that I wouldn't reveal anything until the book was published..I knew a year ago and had to keep it quiet from everyone
It all started with my appearance on the Graham Norton show 'Totally Saturday' (think Maureen posted a link to the youtube video).
Basically, the researchers from Guinness World Records saw the show and saw Graham pull out one of my Smurfs and say I had a collection of over 1,000 Smurfs. They contacted me the next day to say they didn't have a category for Smurf collecting! They said to me that they wanted to feature my collection.
Several emails, visits and photoshoots later - here I am in the Guinness Book..I know it's not the biggest collection out there, but they said 'records get broken as soon as the book goes to print'..so if any of you wants to be in the next book...go for it (just bear in mind it took me DAYS/WEEKS/MONTHS to put all my smurfs back into some sort of order)
It was an interesting experience, but not one I think I'd repeat in a hurry (I didn't even get a certificate lol)
