It was written 2003.

To me it seems Hugues Dayez wants to tell us how Peyo got the right the the smurffigurines and Dupuis didn´t want a part of this. And this turned out to be a big mistake with the success all over the world.

And since it was the Schleichsmurfs that was the first made with only peyo as "copyright" it probably is about the first Schleichsmurfs?? :-?

Would be lovely to see a cornflakes box with a Schleichsmurf inside!!! :o :-D

Kwatta in 1964???

Lia have you tasted Kwatta chocolate???

Kwatta is sinds 1972 een volledig Belgisch merknaam voor chocoladeprodukten. Eerder was het een Belgisch-Nederlands merk chocolade, geproduceerd in Breda en Bois-d'Haine (sinds 1913),

I think, the answer to your other question about promotional smurfitems must be yes. I recognize a lot of companies that had a smurf as promo!

That`s a huge file André and it will take me days to read and understand it, but I think, these are the titles of comics that were given as a promo item for those particular companies. ( if I understood it correctly)

Regarding the 1966 Kelloggs smurfs.

I am looking forward to hear what Alan has to say.

But so faar I see these kelloggs smurfs, after reading what Joaquin translated and skipped the things that seems wrong, just as smurfs given away with Kelloggs cornflakes at the same time as Schleich made them.

If you look at these pictures it is very common that Kelloggs used toys in the boxes and my guess is that Kelloggs just like Waldbaur asked the smurfmanufacturer if they could make toys for them to put inside the boxes. If you search on internet for these pictures you find a lot!!!

Schleich themselves tells that these have been made by them since 1965 and I am pretty sure ( 99,9%) they were marked Schleich from the beginning.

But let´s see what Alan has up his sleaves??? :-?

Yes,

it seems more like it has to do with the comics. The names are comics in different magazines.

I just thought about Joaquins Kelloggs comic from 1966 he told us about from the Peyo book!! Comicstrip and Kelloggs and 1966 goes well with this??? But I don´t understand french so I have no idea??

I`ve received several pages from Joaquin ( my reading in French goes slowly so it will take some time to understand all,but..) and I can only reach the same conclusion as Joaquin in his first post :-? :-? :-?
They really mention Bully as the maker of the smurfs for Kelloggs and I have the impression too that they talk about the sixties.

We have over 5000 members listed already (as you can imagine, this is one of the reasons it's taken a while to start up.. well.. that and we wanted to have something special for the launch) and yes, most of our members are from oversees!
