Hi

Sorry for not being so much on the forum lately, and not mailing so much.
It's getting cold and wet outside so that means working on the little trains again.
That's another hobby of mine.
At my dads place we are building a city for my nephews, and at my own place i am building a city in the year 1935....................somewere in Holland.
a long story but that's for later.
Here a picture to get an idea......................
No that doesn't mean i quit smurfing :-D

Hi

It's all in HO
That's the best because most models are in 1:87
You start with this, it's made out of resin, the same material as from the Leblon or Fariboles statues.
Not easy to work with, you have to put it in boiling water to make it soft so you can work with it.

Fantastic Frank!

It is a shame that the smurfs were not around in 1935. Then you could have made a extremly small smurftoy for one of the villagers!!
André

In Sweden the smurfs are blue ( and yellow).

That looks excellent & is very compact too.

Am I correct in thinking that you can also run trams on your layout Frank (I can see the overhead wires).

I started a tram layout in N-scale back in the 1990's but when our first child was born I had to give up as there was no room :???: It's never been set up since & is now in the cellar in the corner at the back.

There are very few trams in N-scale available (lots in H0 though) so I always buy whatever is available for the future when I can build the layout again. I bought 2 US trams in the Toronto colours the other day from Bachmann. Maybe they'll get to have a run on the layout one day...

Hi Tojo

Yes there is indeed a tram riding on the board.
The wires are there just for the looks, the tram doesn't ride on it.
He gets powered by the rails.

Now we are waiting for the wires for the train, the most difficult part, because we never done this.
