Hi everyone on the Blue Cavern Forum

My name is Helene from Canada and a lot of you might know me from Facebook. I’ve been collecting smurfs for the last 35 years (on and off) because in Canada we did not get a lot of items in stores. Since last year, with the movie, we are now getting a bit more and my collection has re-started growing.

I was an active member of the SCCI club for many years and I got a lot of great pieces thru the Club and loads of great informations about what was coming out and from the merchandising available in Europe and elsewhere. From this side of the ocean SCCI was greatest to keep the Smurfs alive. And Suzanne Lipschitz was a great Smurfer.

Have been reading the forum for a little while now and I think you guys have some great exchange of informations. I have also something to share with you and I thought I would presente myself before posting this information.

Welcome to the forum!! Someone who collects for 35 years will have a lot of valuable info for us

Helene,

So happy you joined us, and looking forward learning from you, especially about the Golden Age of Smurfs (as I like to call the 80s and early 90s lol)

I never knew of the SCCI until a few years ago, but the information found in the letters is amazing, especially when you consider it was before the age of the Internet.

Also, looking forward seeing some pictures of your collection which must be mind-blowing
