A good point Maureen! :D

But it has to do with details not seen on the picture. And I must say it is very hard to know if you don´t have the javelin yet. This smurfs has a detail and then you might be able to guess what is wrong with the carnival!!! :o

Btw. take a look at the weights of the new weightlifter. You can see glue lines. That means there is loose too, then it was stuck. Just as a side information.

Andrè, the lantern bar looks kind of transparent. What is it?

Postby André » Sat May 19, 2012 7:15 am
Hi Benny,

you are getting close!! :D

I have not checked the weightlifter, but I noticed that the swimmer is made in two pieces. The upperbody of the smurf is one piece and the trousers and legs is another. then glued together. :D

That is correct Pierre, but not the answer I was looking for.

It has to do with the accessories. If you look at the javelin accessorie it has a special detail, which also this carneval accessorie has. And then you will know what is wrong with the carnival-smurf! :o :D

I will show you a picture soon which tells us the secret about this carnivalsmurf!! :-D

Hi André, could you please pull out once the lamp rod entirely? Isn't the rod under the hand painted red?

The accessorie of the Javelin is certainly painted in red in the middle, from this angle, you can't see it. Is just a guess. :)

Postby André » Sat May 19, 2012 11:17 am
Absolutly correct Benny!! :-D

That is why I wrote that you could not see it on the picture. If I would have changed the position of the stick immediatly everyone would have known what was wrong. So both have red handlegrips on their accessories. A bit hard to guess maybe??? :-?

So you are correct Benny.

It is a genuine Schleichsmurf but at the same time not sold like this by Schleich.

I love these kind of smurfs. It is from a lot that have been displayed in a way that made the red materialcolour on the stick disappear. But since it is a collector and not a faker who had this the stick has not been moved and therefore still is red where the hand was holding the stick. :-D

I just love it anyway and it tells so much about the secrets about some accessories and paint, that we think can be variations from Schleich, but accually are colours changing with time.

Never seen it on this stick before though?? :-?

I must add also that it is the materialcolour that has change, just like the red colour disappearing on the red mushroom-umbrella. In that case to yellow. So it is not paint in this case, but sometimes it is on other smurfs.

First of all thanks for this fascinating riddle.:D
I've now bought the new series, and I noticed quickly that this bar of the Javelin is painted red in the middle.
You know, I watch the Smurfs most exactly, otherwise you will not find some markings on some figures you know :) .
Thank you that you have shown us that special effect with the lantern bar. Very impressive, what the sun's rays have changed since.

That´s what the forum is for Benny!

Helping eachother collecting and sharing information.

I once bought a huge lot of smurfs with a white bicycle for smurfette( supersmurf). That bike did not get to my house together with the lot. I asked the seller about this bike and that I missed it and she told me she could not find it anywhere but said it was a bike that was miscoloured and was actually partly red. So it could be the same with many accessories made during a short time by Schleich.

By the way Benny,

I seems to have been removing the list you sent me about the grüne punkt CE boxes. But I have made a note that I still miss the chimney sweeper, volleyball and kayak. So I am pretty sure the complete list is the ones I have and then these 3?? :-? Have you found more?

Here is the list of the "Grüne Punkt" Supersmurf-boxes again, even for those who collect the boxes as André and me:

4.0202 chimney
4.0216 firefighter
4.0220 Smurf at school desk (I still lack the box, since your reports, I know it exists.)
4.0223 Volleyball
4.0226 Smurf in Hammock
4.0230 scooter Smurf
4.0235 Smurf in the bath tub
4.0236 Smurfette on bike
4.0241 Smurfette in Pink Car
4.0243 Smurf with mini pool
4.0248 Stork with baby
4.0502 kayak (a very special box  )

Unfortunately I have not found another. Do you have some more to discover? Somehow I get the feeling that there might exist a few more. :-?
Perhaps these are all well and we can finish this chapter ... ;)

Thanks Benny,

I still miss the chimney and volleyball.

And I have not seen any other new one yet. As you say it could be more boxes, but I don´t think that many more can exist. :-?
