As I won't have time after this week to pop the tree up I did it yesterday. I've popped it in a different part of the room instead of having it squashed into a corner. I would describe it as a cross between Liberace and Close Encounters of the Third Kind

That must have taken you ages to put up the tree and then decorate the whole thing. Does everyone in the UK light up their Christmas trees in order to keep warm?

Thank you Kath. It normally takes about 8+ hours to put up and decorate. It's an artificial one so I can put it up whenever. I do miss the smell of a real tree, that is for the first few weeks after which they tend to smell as if they are rotting Some people might use the lights to heat the house but ours are LED ones so they don't give off much heat at all... even with 720 of them I keep meaning to get another set Plus our house is pretty toasty.
